Many replies on threads dealing with companies, cities, etc. banning the flag at work stated that there should be a tread to compile these articles. I could not find if one existed so here is one to post the links about these foolish, liberal do-gooders who don't want to "offend" anyone by flying and American Flag or saying "God Bless America"......etc.

Here's another one: IKON Office Solutions, www.ikon.com is forbidding it's employees to fly the flag or mention God in the office place. (Forget the fact the four letter words are allowed! I guess god damn is allowed, God Bless is not) World Headquarters IKON Office Solutions 70 Valley Stream Parkway Malvern, PA 19355 - 0989 Phone : 610-296-8000

I have contacted the station via their contact numbers and voiced my displeasure at their treasonous conduct. I have threatened to contact companies that advertise on this channel if this policy is not ended. Also, I would like to bring it to the attention of Free Republic that Old Navy stores in Georgia are forbidding their employees from discussing the attack. They could be fired if they are caught doing this. They are allowing them to wear "flag" shirts- of course they sell these shirts: free advertising. If a customer mentions the attack, Old Navy employees must inform the customer that they are forbidden to discuss this matter or must ignore the customer's remarks. The employees feel that they will be judged as unpatriotic which is not the case. I don't understand a company that sells shirts with American flags; yet, violates their employee's free speech rights. Lets send Old Navy a message that this is unacceptable conduct.

Companies need to review their customer base: percentage made up of Americans and percentage made up of others. Now who do you want to offend?
And regarding the "mention of God in the office place", note to companies, the US dollar contains the words "In God We Trust". Does this mean that you do not want to be paid in US Dollars? I hear that Afghanistan money is quickly loosing value.

There was a link on Drudge this morning about the lovely town of Berkley CA banning the American Flag on Fire Trucks. Go Figure, real shocker huh?

Hey - I say this to all of them: If MY flag makes YOU "feel bad", then leave MY country.

I never shop at Old Navy in the first place. You can't buy anything there that they don't plaster their name all over (free advertising) and I don't want to be a walking billboard for anyone.

Because of Bill Maher's remarks about the 'cowardly US military' I have just cancelled all my ABC programming, including A&E, Discovery Channel, TLC, Travel Channel, and History Channel. He (and Disney/ABC) can kiss my retired military ass! At all costs we have to support our GIs and the job they are being sent to do.

Someone's going to get stomped over this. A man's gotta do something to stay in shape, after all.

Unfortunately, in a few weeks, polling will start to show the general American public is quickly falling back to sleep. Any event requiring effort, purpose, fortitude, and a bit of sacrifice is no longer accepted by the general American public. Here in la-la Minnesota, more and more just wanna be nice. I am ready to explode.

I bought something from Old Navy one time last year...I was looking for a winter coat for my daughter and nobody had any (and it was only November), and I searched every place I could think of. We just happened by an Old Navy, and in desperation, I went inside to see if I could find anything. Lo and behold, I found a good winter coat for my daughter at a reasonable price with no logo except on the inside tag. Given that this store was over an hour away from my home, I guess not shopping with them anymore would not be a problem.

I believe IKON has it's roots in the Middle East.
