GWB looked great, sounded great, and covered all the bases. GWB is outfoxing the fox. I was really impressed. I can't imagine how terrible it would have been to see the last president (whatshisname?) speaking in the same setting -- same goes for Al Gore.
And then Hillary ... I tell ya, the voters of NY should take her to the state line, grab her by the nape of her neck, and toss her out.

The cameras I was watching gave Hillary plenty of air time! In fact I am disgusted by how much they trained the cameras on her as if she were the only Senator there besides McCain, of course!
She does tend to look bored when she is not the one on stage that is for sure.

ABC did the best in their post-show to minimize the speech. The closest to a compliment was "It was a fierce speech, but we worry that if the expectations are not fullfilled ... ". Obviously trying to hint that Bush may not be up to the task.

Super speech. No-one else could have done better. Bill Clinton would have had Warren Christopher or Madeline notbright in Kabul discussing the situation with the mullahs, while he was in Hollywood fund raising. God, I can't stand the Clinton's. What a contrast.

This is my first post to this forum and I just wanted to say that George W. Bush did this country proud tonight. I'm battling some bleeding hearts on another message board and happened on this board while searching for ammo to use. I've never been politically active, but my interest has been sparked in light of the events of last week. I'm Texas proud and I feel more hopeful after tonight's speech than I have in the past 9 days.
