MOSCOW, Sept 23 (AFP) -
Afghanistan's Taliban regime claimed Sunday to have shot down another "unidentified plane" flying over Afghanistan, the Russian news agency ITAR-TASS reported, quoting the official Bakhter agency in Kabul.
The plane was shot down some kilometres (miles) from the regional capital of Aibak, where Taliban forces claimed to have shot down a US spy plane on Saturday, the report added.
"We still do not know what country the plane is from," said Abdul Hanan Hinat, head of the Bakhter agency, which is controlled by the Taliban.

Three more and they'll have an ace! Go Taliban...enjoy it while it lasts...which won't be long.

They will have claimed to have shot down the combined forces of the US and Great Britain before long.

Everytime they shoot down one of these "spyplanes" (in reality, nothing more than a glorified remote-control plane with a TV/IR camera and a tranmitter), they reveal their AAA/SAM capabilities.
The US is obviously probing their defenses ... getting them to unmask and then pinpointing their networks and communications systems.

These are drones, not planes.
We've got plenty and by the time they shoot 'em all the intel info has been transmitted to our troops.

Maybe we should drop toy soldiers tied to bread wrappers and let 'em have a field day slaughtering our 'paratroops'.

Perhaps we should just buy tens of thousands of toy RC planes and fly them en masse into Afghanistan every day. Within a month these people will have depleted the whole of their AA capability.

The Taligoofs haven't seen the Jihad yet.

and probably empty substantial amounts of ammo that they would better save for
later.
And they aren't busy working any fields, attending to their farm animals, or transporting food
to city.
We may be "biting at the bit" here in the USA. The Taliban (and probably Osama) are
probably headed into a really miserable winter.
In a couple of months they'll all have body-fat percentages that will
be the envy of many professional models...only they'll be starving.

Don't forget the fire crackers tied to them, or better yet battery powered sound effects (gun fire, tank engines, American voices). Keep 'em on edge, let them use up their ammo shooting at nothing in the dark, then surprise 'em when they find out the latest round of "toy" soldiers is the real thing.

$3.5 million a piece. Cheaper than manned planes but not exactly worthless.

But of course all the rest of the world will doubt this unless the Taliban show their "proof", right? I mean, turnabout is fair play, isn't it?

I wish the TASS agency avoided keeping scores. THis is war, not a football game.

Are they using rocks and sticks? They aren't really high tech. But they have plenty of rocks and soon will have more.
