Hi. I had the same reaction when I read the headlines.
I just can't imagine GW seriously considering this ID-thingy.

I'm not jumping on you,I am jumping on the evil bastards that want to do this
If this goes through, they will find it doesn't work. Soon thereafter, they will want to implant them like we do on registered animals.

if they try, is it time for the revolution?

It's time to round up enough fake identification to get yourself several spare ID cards when they are required.
If they go to implants, you're damned right that's time for revolution.

I don't see how they could possibly think this would work.
I live in CA, and there are forged green cards, drivers licenses and social security cards you can buy at the flea market.
There is always talk of implanting chips into a persons hand, there is a company in Indonesia that is supposedly working on that technology. I just don't think the American people would buy into this.
Oracle has offered it's help in putting together a National ID card...

Yes I saw it, and I made a post explaining why it would not help. This is an Internet hardware failure, not her machine

Howdy tomkat, did you or any other Freepers hear on Fox this morning between 7:00 or 9:00 a news flash that Richard Armitage, Powell's deputy, had seen them himself or heard that some visiting Chinese journalists were watching TV and cheered at the WTC's destruction. Armitage, it is said, had them all deported. I didn't dream up this story, I heard it.
I have e-mailed the question to three of Fox's e-mail addresses and have not heard back from them. Anybody?
