Is Helen Thomas A Bonafide Idiot or a Certified Idiot? (What's Her Obsession??)

Just finished watching the Ari Fleischer press briefing (the transcript no doubt can be found somewhere else on FR), and NOW I'm watching the press questions to President Bush at the Muslim leaders meeting.
Helen Thomas must really be hurting for a story...she has hounded the President and Ari with the same inane question: "Do you consider Osama bin Laden a religious leader or a political leader?" Grandma Thomas can't seem to accept the answer, "Evil man, he's a terrorist." She's obsessed with trying to pin the administration down to ONE answer...as if THOSE are the only two options.
So I ask, is Helen Thomas a BONAFIDE idiot, or merely a CERTIFIED one?
And while I'm at it: why doesn't this argumentative, liberal old sop RETIRE??

I saw that earlier today. She gets scarier looking every day. I think her obsession is pushing her lib agenda and trying to make the president look stupid but it is totally backfiring. Isn't Ari great? I love how he handles her.

Poor old Helen is as crazy as a rabid dog on lithium. She kept repeating the question because she couldn't remember if she asked it already. She reminds me of one of those women who call a neighbor to help her look for the glasses on top of her head.
