STORRS - They came from all across eastern Connecticut to talk about the events of Sept. 11, to share their horror and anger and to work for a nonviolent response by the United States.
Among the 35 present Thursday night were Quakers, pacifists, members of the Green Party and University of Connecticut students - all horrified by the terrorist attacks.

I know a few good Marines who would like to take you aside and explain a few things about patriotism to you, sir.
Voting here at Free Republic on October 24, 2001 in honor of the United Nations 56th Anniversary
Truth be known, myself and freeper Constitution Day were going to have fun on 9/17/01 with a "Constitution Day" thread (his 31st Birthday) but with the WTC and all it never happened.
After reading several 'peacenik' pacifist threads, most of which were asinine I thought the UN anniversary day would be a fun day to have a "vote" for the most moronic "peace" activists.
It has actually grown a bit I have 3 catagories now (view my profile page) and I've not worked out the logistics of it all but in due time I shall. Hopefully get JohnRobs permission to put the vote thread in Breaking News for the day, also his new bump-list may come in handy, but I don't want to set anything up just yet as posting rules may change by then.
Thanks for your interest!
Why can't we get a section like a "PREVIEW OF COMING ATTRACTIONS" section, over and above the activists/chapters area?
