:-(
The road that passes is front of this area was reopened yesterday, and I have driven by it on my way to work. I don't really want to, but it takes me 20 minutes longer to go around it. It is a horrible scene to behold. It will take a long time to get the building back to normal - the charring covers most of that side.
My friend's brother was killed there. He had just moved here last year from Arizona. He left two young children without a dad. Amid all the justified anger and anguish about the WTC, let us not forget those who perished at the Pentagon.

let us not forget those who perished at the Pentagon. This has been driving me nuts! People seldom mention the Pentagon and the Pennsylvania crash; the lives lost in those places are just as precious as the lives of those lost in NYC.

Can now see them - thank you! Unbelievable destruction! Thank you for posting these and for being ok!

, let us not forget those who perished at the Pentagon- TRIPLE AMEN!

let us not forget those who perished at the Pentagon To put this in some kind of perspective, more people were killed in the Pentagon, than in the Oklahoma City bombing.

I know there were a great number of people killed there ... but that Pentagon is one tough building! That was a big plane that hit and it only collapsed the outer building? Amazing.

Yeah, the Pentagon is a great building. I was talking with my parents as we were walking on the Mall on Sunday and I had to day that I was glad that it was the Pentagon. Only because any other major building in the DC area would have crumpled and burned like a piece of paper.... The Capitol or the WH would not have come out of this in any acceptable shape.

The shock of what these terrorists did will never go away. Thank you for the thread and the link.
Soon we will have pictures of how the GREAT USA is taking care of them.
They messed with the wrong country. Americans are the best and we will not stand for this.

I know there were a great number of people killed there ... but that Pentagon is one tough building! Wood-framed, believe it or not.
That was a big plane that hit and it only collapsed the outer building? Amazing.
The plane hit the ground and skidded into the Pentagon. Had it hit directly, the damage would have been considerably worse.
