The Lady is lonely.
She stands on her pedestal in the harbor longing for her twin friends that were taken so suddenly and brutally.
She also longs for the company of the thousands of guests that she welcomed daily until September 11.
Whjat can be done? Will she ever be completely safe? We will never have a normal day again, but we can redefine normal and get back to the business of living and being free. As long as we keep the Lady closed to the people that need her,
need her now more than ever as a symbol of what we are all about and what we are fighting for.
So, fellow freepers...any suggestions as to how to reopen the Lady with the Torch?
How can we keep her free from harm...or should we just go ahead and demand that she be open, take the risk, the same risk that faced our ancestors in their wars to make this a free country?
Contact your Reps and ask them what's the story here and get them to act as if Liberty really mattered.
Sorry for the soapbox, but this has really been bugging me, I mean, they've reopened everything BUT the Statue, the Sbarro's in jerusalem, blasted by terrorists a month ago, is reopened. America needs a haven, a symbol, and Lady Liberty is it.
Revelation 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
