Spin City (gay agenda)
me

Posted on 10/16/2001 6:40:40 PM PDT by Texaggie79

Had to comment on the garbage I'm watching on a usually funny, however quite liberal show.

In tonight's plot, Carter, a gay man is trying to find a surrogate mother for his child. So he asks his best friend. And of course she gives a lame speech on how she doesn't know of any man that deserves to be a father, more than he.

So anyway, I wanted to make another thread addressing the gay agenda on TV for Salon to read and quote from. This time Salon, try not to cut my quotes in half.

I cannot believe that the issue of what is in the CHILD'S best interest was never addressed on the show. All that mattered was that Carter was happy. These self centered liberals never stop to think about others. Does Carter not question for a second if raising a child, knowingly, in a single parent house hold, for one, and with a GAY father, two, would be in the best interest of a child.

I have a hard enough time with the gays that want to adopt children that need homes, but to create a child for the purpose of raising in a homosexual household is pure selfishness.

And just to tick off the pro-gay people, homosexuality is nothing but a perversion. And to raise a child in believing that it is a "normal", "ok" thing is quite immoral and harmful to a child.

In case anyone wonders, here is where Salon mentioned FR.

I suspect that you already know this, but for Salon's benefit, I'll make a few comments.

The problem isn't primarily that these people want to hurt children or that they are indifferent to the effect of these situations on children. The problem is that they believe that it would be healthy for all children if more children were raised by affluent single moms, homosexual singles, or homosexual couples. They believe that any negative outcome of these situations comes only from society's disapproval of them and that these situations would be perfectly healthy as long as society approved.

With this premise, they feel justified in attacking anyone who questions whether these situations are healthy for the individual children or for society. Under their premise, the situation isn't hurting the child but instead the disapproval of the situation by society. If they can destroy the criticism by destroying those who are criticizing, then they have saved the children. For all of their prattle about a need for diversity, their belief system by its nature cannot tolerate any diversity of thought.

The question becomes how to persuade the average person that these people are wrong. The true believers in these stupid ideas are probably beyond hope. They are unlikely to change. The battle must be to show the average person that these situations are inherently unhealthy and to give the average person the courage to say that these situations are unhealthy.

A child in such a situation is going to be messed up to say the least. Can you imagine the ridicule these children will get at school??? Lets face it - kids are cruel. "So what did you and dad do for fathers day"??? Simple example. This to me is nothing but child abuse. If they want to do thier repulsive things they can do it in thier homes away from the public eye. Leave the kids alone... I don't even want to say what I think of NAMBLA or what I think should be done to them.

I thought you were a fan of the show. If you are, then you know one of the main characters is a homosexual. He is often portrayed in a positive light on the show. Tonight they gave him the lead story with the kid etc. I'm surprised and shocked that you're surprised.

What do you think they are going to do with this character, keep him hidden? When you figure out what just happened to you and why, perhaps you can consult the tv guide for other shows in the time slot. Perhaps PAX or the Trinity Network.

Yeah, I think Paul should raise the child. Or maybe Stewart.

Network TV rots the brain.

Well, with the exception of "Enterprise."

Of course, but this is the first time they have pushed the child issue. I don't mind a gay character, they can be quite funny. Just because a program has a gay character in it does not make ne not like it. It is the propaganda, which Spin City has been, up until now, not too pushy with, except for an episode or 2.

Network TV rots the brain.

But it pays the bills.

When we seek answers on TV we are truly lost. Bring on the luddites!
