Fourteen Saturdays in a row and we had another great FReep of Congressman Gary Condit (D-CA).

Five and one half months and Gary Condit is still silent concerning Chandra Levy. Five and one half months and Congress has failed to investigate a known national security risk who sits on the House Permanent Select Intelligence Committee and 3 of it's sub-committees. What is wrong with this picture?

Terrorists attack the United States of America and kill thousands of American citizens as well as hundreds of foreign nationals and Gary Condit get a "get out of jail free" card from our national media and national leaders.

Remember Gary Condit? Remember Chandra Levy? Remember Gary Condit in the news everyday from early May until September 11th?

Well, the Central Valley Chapter of FreeRepublic.com have not forgotten. We have been outside his Modesto office every Saturday since July 21st demanding Condit's resignation or removal from office. The CV Chapter along with several concerned 18th congressional district citizens have been dedicating their Saturday afternoons to keep Gary Condit's name before the citizens of Modesto and our many supporters here on FReeRepublic.com.

Today was no exception. Twelve people manned the corners of 16th and J Streets and 17th and J Streets (Five-Points) in downtown Modesto with signs, a banner and loud voices to let the passing motorists and pedestrians know that "We Have Not Forgotten - Gary Condit's Rotten!"

"Gary Condit - We have you surrounded. Drop the charade. Step away from the intern. Come out with your pants up!" echoed through the streets of Modesto today along with many other chants and songs.

Gary Condit made his first public appearance in Modesto last night at a retirement ceremony for out-going Stanislaus County Clerk Karen Mathews. Read about it here

With the news that Condit was in town, we created a special warning to the citizens of Modesto - "Watch Your Daughters - Gary Condit's in Town!" Every time the vehicles would stop for a red light in front of us or when we saw pedestrians walking by, we gave out the warning.

Today, like all of our previous FReeps, the public is behind us in our efforts. Horns sounded regularly and people flashed a thumbs up signal to us or waved in agreement. Condit still has a small number of "kool-aid" supporters who flip us off or give a thumbs down, to which they are told in loud voices, "Get a Conscience."

We also have with us several regular protesters who have been with us since the beginning. SiFiPattie's friend Chris waxed poetic today with a few sound bites for the crowd. He also sang "NayNaNaNa HeyHeyHey Good-by" as well as "Adios Gary Adios."

One gentleman came by and asked one of us to take a picture of him with the group so he could identify with the protest. Afterwards, he took his Poloroid camera and pic and walked across the street laughing at our ever changing cheers and jeers.

We stated back in July that we would FReep this Dirtbag until he is out of office. We will not give him a free ride. Condit must be held accountable and we will keep him in the public eye.
