Refugees in Afghanistan's Nimrouz province, in an area controlled by the northern-based alliance fighting Afghanistan's Taliban rulers, walk towards Iran -- which has sealed its borders. As more Afghans flee the capital of Kabul and other Taliban-controlled areas, stories are beginning to spread of the dangers and carnage they have left behind.

THE WASHINGTON POST

AINGARI, Afghanistan, Oct. 23 —  Taliban forces are taking cover among the civilian population of Kabul and stashing their military equipment in mosques and schools to avoid U.S. airstrikes, according to refugees who have fled the capital in recent days.
ALLIED PLANES have attacked targets in and around Kabul nearly every day since the U.S.-led airstrikes began Oct. 7. The attacks are aimed at Taliban military sites. But the refugees said today that many Taliban fighters are now hiding among civilians in the capital.
“The airstrikes destroyed some [military] sites, but now the Taliban come at night to the houses of the people and bring their equipment into civilian places,” said Mohammad Ali, 50, a jobless former bus driver in Kabul who crossed the Taliban and opposition Northern Alliance front lines this morning, walking for six hours to reach this alliance-controlled village about 20 miles southeast of Jabal Saraj.

But the refugees said today that many Taliban fighters are now hiding among civilians in the capital.

Maybe it can be found in the uholy qur'an, along with killing Jews and Christians, the section instructing the brave musli warriors to hide among innocent women and children? Just curious. Any pro-terrorist lurkers care to shed light?

We blow them away wherever they are. Too bad for those in the way. Is it too bad about our 6000+? To listen to these handwringing fools one would think that our tragedy and losses don't count.

C'mon. Is anyone here REALLY suprised about this "tactic"? These losers KNOW they suck at military combat (Men who get off on degrading women are inherently cowards) so they are taking after their buddy sadaam. He did it as well, remember?

I'd look at this news for two realizations:

1. These idiotic bums aparently no longer "Long" for their 72 virgins enough to be martyers (Perhaps there's a little TOO much goat-lovin' goin on in those tents and caves)!

2. They actually think that this is supposed to make US look bad.

It goes without saying that we blow them away wherever they are, but I do think we should do what we can to get the word out, in Afghanistan and in the Muslim world (and, of course, to our own left-scum communities, like Berkeley) that we will not be tricked by this farce of hiding in Mosques. Actually, if the Muslim world makes too big of a frigging deal about us going after Taliban in Mosques, I say we should just Nuke Mecca and be done with it. But we're not going to do that, so I think we should make an extra heavy propaganda effort along with our continuing stepped-up, non-stop, unrelenting military effort to kill everyone of those scumbags, rain or shine, summer or winter, snow in the mountains or not, Ramadan be damned.

'Taliban said to use human shields'

Funny, I think we in the West are the only people in the whole world who would consider the 'shields' to actually be 'people', you know, individuals. Do you think anyone else even cares about those lives? I don't think so, and I think that's the saddest part: the world itself is a brute.

It was a favored tactic used by Islamic slime during the Battle of Mogadishu in Somalia.

Hey, check this out:

(C)Reuters News Service, Afghanistan

U.S. Military lawyers, in consultation with United Nations military observers, have announced a policy for separating military targets from innocent civilians in Afghanistan.

"The key is intent" says Joshua Stein, legal representative for the Special Forces currently prosecuting the war on the ground. "What we have here is a breakthrough in modern warfare, fully endorsed by the United Nations and other collectives. Many, many comrades-in-arms have spent long hours developing this innovative solution, in some cases spending time away from their state duties, families and loved ones."

The massive red binder sporting the logos of the United Nations, NOW, PUSH, BET and NAACP hefted excitedly in his hands, Stein continues "This is it. A roadmap and expert system. It has got it all. All military personnel will be required to carry it into combat as a handy reference."

Opening the first pages for this reporter to examine, the thick book features a moving emotional multicultural treatise as its opening introduction, and includes backgrounds on all the important faiths playing in recent conflicts around the world.

A glossary explains the absence of the word 'terrorist' and its substitution for 'freedom fighter', an insight long supported by the Reuters news organization. Other entries include Islam - 'peaceful religion', Osama Bin Laden - 'Islamic Hero', and American military - 'foreign invaders'.

"The United States invaders will be required to conduct in-person, in-depth interviews with potential targets to determine whether they are in fact hostile to America." Stein continues. "Hey, it is not enough to be fired upon. They may be innocent civilians defending their land - how do we know? We have innovated a 17-point test that will extract evidence from the potential target, admissable in an American courtroom. A survey really."

Excitedly turning to page 11,232, Stein points out survey question 46 'Do you watch American television?'.

"These subtle psychological profiles will determine the origins of their violence" he explains. "For example, Hollywood influences may have led to a perception of the American invaders as hostile. An instinctive and defensive reaction, which may include shooting and bombing, could have resulted from a conditioned response to peer-reinforced behavior."

Stein beams with pride delivering his summary. "The red book, as it has been come to be known, will guarantee that the civil rights of the Afghan people will not be denied, even in war. If we want to demonstrate the power of democracy to the world, let them see it in action." he gushed.

I've read SO much about these lower-than-pig-offal, that it makes me want to scream.

These tactics are SOP it seems. Cold-blooded butchers of unarmed women, children and men. Whether they ram into US buildings or hide amongst their OWN kind...the results are the same...satiating their bloodlust.

I wish I were President for just an hour. I'd make a decree to round up the islame pig-offals, lock 'em up in their stupid mosques, and turn loose a herd of wild boars on them. THEN, I'd take bets on WHICH pigs would scream the loudest.

Nuke Mecca? nah....Why not fill an airliner with parachute pigs and fly it over the Haj when they're all walkin' round in circles during Ramadan. Drop the greasey little snorters and watch the fun begin.... Better still, import 100,000 pigs to Afghanistan to be used in conjunction with the burials of "terrorists". Let people witness pig guts being added to the graves. They'd never get to see Allah and consequently be hesitant to die as quickly. Worked for the Limeys in India....

Pig guts and other forms of flying pork are a good idea but the reason I stick to my Nuke Mecca philosophy is that I believe that Islam lacks unifying structure, either organizational or doctrinal. The only thing they really have is that place. Remove Mecca from the world and they'll be like chickens with their heads cut off. There will be a lot of screaming and blood for awhile, but in a short time it will be over.

Maybe not. Let's try it and see.
