Power 3 Technology (text link)

Power 3 Technology (home page link)

WHAT YOU JUST SAW

The Power 3 Lifters 1 and 2
A propulsion system consisting of a corona-based capacitive lifter and a power supply
The first known demonstration of this technology

WHAT IT IS NOT

It is not a type of magnetic levitation. (The table on which it sets is plastic.)
It does not use conventional thrust. (The slight breeze felt coming from it is ion wind. It's velocity is ~1/4"/sec, which is similar to the velocity of a falling leaf.)
It is not lifted by ion wind. (If an obstruction is placed between the wire and plate, the lifter remains up. If it were ion wind, the lifter would fall. We know enough about ion wind to determine how much is created and what it can push. There is insufficient ion wind to lift this test article.) See Lifter Ion Test Video (894K)

WHAT IT IS

It is a propulsion system that
Does not use fossil fuel as a propellant,
Does not require the vehicle to be aerodynamic in shape,
Does not create conventional thrust, (There is nothing escaping from the vehicle that pushes the vehicle forward.)
Is environmentally friendly - creating no toxic byproducts, or disruption of the surrounding environment,
Has no moving parts; therefore being safer, more reliable, less expensive to use, and cheaper to maintain,
Works in the atmosphere
Has been mathematically modeled and demonstrated through repeatable consistent experimentation,
Is proving to be scalable,
Is possible with the technology and materials available today.

It is a propulsion system that is going to change virtually every aspect of our daily lives.

How about that!

FYI, this article is also linked on the EnterpriseMission.com website.

Mark W.

Looks like a Townsend Brown type device. Nice to see something happening along these lines... Now, if it only turns out to be true...

ping!

Perhaps we will have the option of moving somewhere else...

Mark W.

p.s. Do you think I should ping anybody special about this?

Where can I find a concise explanation on how this works?

Second video looks as though there is transparent plastic film covering the top and there are holes in the table to blow upwards...kinda like air hockey.

not saying that's what I think it is, just that it's what it looks like

I'm going to go home and study on this thing, but my BS meter is definately twitching. I am quite familiar with corona discharges, and have more than a layman's understanding of electromagnetics and gravity. More on this after a sober objective review.

please add me to your ping-list after you've looked this over. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts, having studied space science and astrophysics, myself.

"why can't they afford a decent camera?"

Because they spent all their money on first-surface mirrors and a smoke generator? (just guessing) *hehehe*

"OK. it basically comes down to this : true anti-gravity (at least on a macroatomic scale) is an impossibility according to all the known laws of physics (If I'm wrong, please tell me, because I'd like to see those equations). However, many things can be made to appear as if they are antigravitic. For example, take the little-understood phenomenon of the Bifield-Brown effect, discovered by T. Townsend Brown. It basically states that a properly charged capacitor, when charged to a high enough voltage (at least 10 KV, often more) will thrust towards the positive side through some electrokinetic field effect unrelated to the ionic wind (I have tested this myself and it works). This is often called "electrogravity," but that is completely wrong. It is electorkinetic propulsion. The thust is the same up and down as it is side to side if you rotate the capacitor. It is completely unrelated to gravity. Another example it magnetic repulsion. Has all the "symptoms" of true antigravity, but it's not - it's just magnetism. In conclusion, antigravity-like effects can be produced in many ways, but true antigravity (without the assistance of a black hole or some similar device to warp the fabric of space itself) is an impossibility." >Where can I find a concise explanation on how this works?

I wish I knew.

This is the first I've heard of it. I zapped it up here before I even examined all the web pages at the site.

For what it's worth, though, the place where I found this -- EnterpriseMission.com -- is put together by a couple of ex-NASA types. They have a lot of expertise availabe to them and they're not the kinds of people to flat out make stuff up, or to promote weirdos.

If this is related to the work of Townsend Brown (and that is just _my_ guess), then "fringe" books like "The Philadelphia Experiment" will be your best source of background info.

Physicist may check in with useful stuff. I imagine something like this will be easy to "debunk" if that's what's required. However, from glancing around the website at "Transdimensional Technology" they don't appear to be fly-by-night to me.

Time Will Tell! (I hope!)

rotflol!

Show me the money. If this is real, big names are lining up to buy the patents. Speaking of which, what are the patent application numbers?

I would like to be pinged for articles of this type. I am skeptical, but hopeful that eventually, somehow, someone will stumble onto what it is we are looking for.

Actually, I just got back from flipping through their website. They appear to be very upfront. All the workers have their resumes & credentials up online. All the corporate data appears to be current and up online. And they actually do provide the "contract numbers" for the work they apparently did in association with NASA...

I'm not saying I believe this stuff -- it all sounds just on the other side of fringe to be true -- but it sounds like they believe in what they're doing. And it _sounds_ like they've actually got a diversified product line. It may turn out to be a kind of pop science fiction story I suppose, but at least it's an interesting SF story. Check out their other development things: Other Transdimensional Technology Products

In other words, it's linked to Richard Hoagland (or is that Hoaxland?) and his hyperdimensional fizzies.

They do inhabit the sharp edges of the current world paradigm however.
