FReeper ideas for the war effort

External war front

An anti-guerilla Vietnam style WHAM in Ashcan and the other radical islamic regions/terrorist harbors will be costly in terms of US casualites. These are fanatics. Search and destroy missions are also going to be expensive - we should minimise casualities at all costs. We know the enemy do not value human life, even their families. They hide amongst their children and homes; to a degree that is much worse than Vietnam War infiltrated hamlets. A resettlement program is not gonna work here either. What the enemy does hold sacred and inviolate is the land- its holy to them- and worthy of all their blood to liberate...

An idea I favor is siezing an area of Afghan/Islam territory at Quandahar say half a square mile and fortifying it for longterm occupation/defense, sort of like the Fire bases (say Fort Martyrs). We do have air superiority. All they can throw at Fort M is rocketry/mortars at the most. Immediately/simultaneously announce diplomatic or unilateral paperwork declaring that Fort M is forfeit to the people of the USA in payment for 911 in the style of a 99 year lease as per Hong Kong. For 99 years Fort M will remind the enemy of 911 and be a thorn in their side pyschologically: instead of US forces hunting them down, they will be forced by their religious fury to attack Fort M time after time after. Set up night and day approach sensors and robot rapid fire defenses and hang on. Periodically go outside the wire and doze in the bodies to keep Fort M resonably hygenic. Air-Cav all required resupplies to Fort M of course. No locals allowed in; lets do our own laundry etc. Draw the enemy come to us, for decades if needed.

Internal war front

Domestic USA has plenty of airtimefor an official TV show regarding hostile/wanted people. It would rate well I think as long as there was no Burbank face-time-craving anchor or talking head professor. Use it to sell war bonds if nothing else. One uniformed narrator and the mug shot info etc would do it. Offer a very large standing reward for any info on illegals/fugitives. Especially enlist motels, hotels, trailer park managers etc and teenage groups. The USA should have all 200+ million pairs of eyes and ears constantly on the lookout. Everyone wants to be a hero and get 15 minutes of fame, yeah, but what else would have such a widespread and effective outcome?

NB:

In the days of the Third Reich, the fascist state used novel ideas to motivate "citizenry watch", mainly on racial motivations, but it worked. Sabotage in Nazi Germany was low. That is what we are facing, economic and agricultural and social sabotage. It means false alarms, malicious neighbor paybacks, etc, etc, but it paid off in the Reich.

For those who advocate killing 100 of theirs for every 5 of ours, or carpet bombing or just outright nuking them, I point out that the Nazis got into genocide real big too and executed whole villages whenever French resistance killed an SS officer of the Reich etc. We don't want to go there.

Yea, I have some ideas:

Nuke Amman.

Nuke Damascus.

Nuke Tehran.

Nuke Riyadh.

Nuke Tunis.

Nerve gas the entire Bekka Valley, and then nuke it.

Oh yea, and kill Arafat by whatever means necessary.

After that, we can talk peace.

The above list should occupy the U.S. Military until the middle of November or so. After that, the State Department can begin negotiations with the survivors.

"Domestic USA has plenty of airtimefor an official TV show regarding hostile/wanted people. "

I think America's Most Wanted fills that bill. John Walsh is an American Hero. It would not surprise me at all if his show is a big factor in getting these guys.

You mean use some close-to-date neutron bombs? I don't like nuking people, to put it mildly. Why didn't we just nuke Vietnam or Korea? A: USSR/China bloc. Nuke is no answer. Besides, what happens to Israel?

Is it aired three times a week? Doesn't it just cover 'ordinary' crims? The show I'm thinking of is more like an olive drab info-mercial, no frills.

Naw, I am talking about some of the really big megaton city killers. I mean why screw around? Let's drop a few fusion bombs on them. It would only take a dozen or so and we would be rid of these psychotics for a couple of generations at least. Israel can use some of their nukes too. I didn't want to keep them out of the party.

Hell, they can nuke Baghdad just to make sure their stuff works right.

If what I have read is correct, they can lob a couple of dozen at Baghdad and Tehran and still have a few left over to keep the loonies in Cairo nervous.

The "Lets Nuke" position is a lot closer now that the enemy is posting germ warfare around the nation. True. But...

Hmmmmm

An informed source told The Times that bin Laden appeared to have amassed a terrifying range of weapons although he was insistent that he did not have the capacity to launch a nuclear attack.

"There has been clear evidence for several years that bin Laden's agents have been trying to buy, steal or smuggle nuclear systems in order to attack the West," the paper said.

"He (bin Laden) has said that it was his 'religious duty' to seek to acquire the chemical, biological and nuclear weapons of mass destruction," it added.

However, intelligence sources, according to the paper, were concerned that bin Laden could obtain radioactive material for a "dirty bomb."

Instead of being used in an atomic weapon, the material could be dispersed in an urban environment killing hundreds and leaving thousands exposed to radioactive poisoning.

They are using biowar against us, so I pretty much figure the Marguis of Queensbury rules are out the window don't you?

Besides, we need to strike absolute terror into the hearts of the folks running these crummy little psuedo-countries over their so they don't dare try anything like this for another thousand years or so.

... So much for any sensible input.

"Nuke Amman."

Lurker, Jordan is the only good thing over there right now.

Get a hold of yourself.

The Defense advisors room at the Whitehouse is not going to go to the nuke option until (not if) the enemy detonates a nuke in an American, European or Canadian city. I truly expect the enemy to attempt do it. Do you?

I have 2 ideas for consideration.

One, this is as much an opinion war as a military one. We need world opinion on our side as much as possible.

Form a special team (FReepers??), with official or unofficial governmental guidance, and work on the web as regular citizens to engage thoughtful persons worldwide and affect world opinion. We could patrol websites the world over that need conversational (chat) or posted FReeping, and explain U.S. positions as good and typical CITIZENS. Write editorials to world papers and sites. Send photos of positive U.S. endeavors, etc, etc. The ideas for a worldwide "FReeper patrol" are endless. In fact, let's sign up some volunteers soon for a patrol. Heck we KNOW this is a good idea, don't we FReepers? We shape opinion across the web every day.

Two - Tom Ridge needs to ask for Homeland volunteers. I can't imagine that we have "all the bases covered" for every sensitive facility in the U.S. How many water plants have a minimum wage security guard snoozing in a Pinto from 10PM to 6AM? What about all these sightings of "Middle Easterners" around nuke plants or with videos of the Sears Tower caught in Philly? You notice they were caught after they left Chicago, not WHILE they were taking the video.

Groups of people could write letters to the troops, and help their families while they're away. We could prepare assist in civil defense preparation in the event of disasters. The list is endless, and good for the country in many ways. I suggest a volunteer group for every county in the country, which could be split into more local neighborhood groups, and give people a chance to participate at the same time.

Pray to God we become a righteous nation once again, and He will "make thine enemies thy footstool". Its so simple. Obeying God is the source of ALL blessings, and disobeying God is the source of all that is cursed.

God will hand the terrorists to us on a silver platter, with little of our own effort, if we just trust and obey him.

Oh hey --methinks you are a freeper signed on 3 days ago who has chosen to appease terrorism, opt out of the war and squawk Lew Rockwellisms. Another pro-terrorist.
