U.S. assures Saudis visa requirements won't change

ABU DHABI — The Bush administration has assured Saudi Arabia that its nationals will not be restricted from entering the United States. Arab diplomatic sources said the U.S. embassy in Riyad has not been issued new restrictions regarding visa requirements for a Saudi national.

The sources said the administration assured the kingdom that Saudi nationals will continue to enjoy access to the United States. This includes the lack of exhaustive interviews or background checks.

On Tuesday, Saudi Defense Minister Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz met U.S. ambassador to Riyad Robert Gordon. The official Saudi news agency said the meeting concerned "issues of mutual interest."

Saudi officials were concerned that the United States would tighten visa requirements amid reports that eight of the 19 suicide hijackers who destroyed parts of New York and Washington on Sept. 11 were Saudi nationals. Last year, more Saudi nationals received U.S. visas than any other citizens from the Arab world.

"The Saudi citizen must be treated with the due respect in any country as is the case with peoples of other nationalities," Saudi Interior Minister Prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz said. "Even if there were Saudis accused, a whole nation and people must not stand accused."

During fiscal year 2000, more than 60,000 Saudis were issued visas. The next highest figure from an Arab country was Egypt, with nearly 49,000 visas granted.

This visa assurance should only be based on a reciprocal assurance that our military bases are secure and usable in the conduct of this war.

Why don't we just adopt the same visa requirements that the Saudi's have for Americans entering Saudi - they are very tough, and include among other things a certificate of religion, and no tourism, and a lot of other restrictions.

Why?

This is the kind of crap that's killing this nation.

Logical suggestion. If they don't want to play by our rules, we should play by theirs.

The US should assure the Saudis that their citizens will be treated like everyone else's (Mexican, British, EVERYONE!!!) and then the borders should be shut, illegals, those overstaying or misusing visas or worker/education permits, now unnecesary foreign workers...send'em all home. We're America; give everyone the same treatment.

This is getting very upsetting. There cannot be a war on terrorism unless there is a war on globalism. How is bombing any country going to solve the problem if its citizens can just legally (or illegally) walk into this country?

Bottom line...these terrorist attacks were initiated on US soil.

FUTURE WIDOWS OF AMERICA: WRITE YOUR CONGRESSMAN
The enemy is in this country right now. And any terrorists who are not already here are free to immigrate. The government has been doing an excellent job rounding up suspects from the last two attacks. But what about the next attack? We thought there was only one murderous Islamic cell in America the last time, too.

Congress has authority to pass a law tomorrow requiring aliens from suspect countries to leave. As far as the Constitution is concerned, aliens, which is to say non-citizens, are here at this country's pleasure. They have no constitutional right to be here.

Communicate! Let the Sons of....

NOW IS THE TIME TO CANCEL ALL VISAS!! WE MUST DEPORT ALL ALIENS, ENACT A MORATORIUM ON IMMIGRATION!!!

International Terrorism and Immigration Policy House Subcommittee on Immigration and Claims

Hearing on International Terrorism and Immigration Policy

January 25, 2000

Good morning. Before I begin my prepared comments, I would like to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation to you, Mr. Chairman, for holding this hearing, and, equally important, for standing up to the orchestrated campaign to stop me from appearing. Because of the investigative work I have carried out as a journalist and investigator in exposing the presence of militant Islamic fundamentalists and Middle Eastern terrorists in the United States (see attached bio), I have been the subject of a sustained campaign of vilification, defamation and even a threat to my life during the past five years by militant Islamic organizations operating as self-anointed representatives of the larger Muslim population, whom they decidedly do not represent.

U.S. Law Says Membership in Terrorist Group,Or Advocacy of Terror, No Bar to Immigration

A 1990 U.S. immigration law, sponsored by Sen. Ted Kennedy (D.-Mass.), instructs State Department employees that "mere" membership in a terrorist organization or advocacy of acts of terrorism should not exclude foreigners from receiving U.S. immigration visas.

Under the law as it is written, someone who belongs to a Middle Eastern terrorist group and has publicly stated a desire that the World Trade Center towers be blown up cannot, on those grounds alone, be denied permission to legally enter the United States as a prospective citizen.

The Bush administration has assured Saudi Arabia that its nationals will not be restricted from entering the United States.

There is something very fishy about this. Did you ever get the feeling that maybe our government wants terror and turmoil in America? For example, power grabs by the federal government are much easier during national emergencies.

Whatever the case, I am slowly losing all faith in our government's willingness to protect our borders.

This pretty much resolves the issue of waging war against terrorism when a nation that has supported terrorism and contributes a majority of terrorist suspects is given the green light to continue.

Why stop there, why don't we just pay their tuition to flight school? Its unfair that taxpayers are already financing the state universities where we teach them bio-chem warfare and not paying to teach them how to fly planes into buildings.

"We're America; give everyone the same treatment."

This attitude is why NOTHING is being done and why little old ladies in airports are screened EXACTLY the same way that young middle eastern men are. We will never have enough border patrol, enough INS employees, enough airport security, enough of ANYTHING to go on mindlessly treating "everyone the same", which means, we will NEVER deal with any of these problems. At least until after many, many more American civilians are dead. We can no longer afford to be stupid in the name of political correctness.

Why the new law if they are not going to enforce it? Looks like another Bush, Clinton deal, they don't uphold the law on the many Bill and Hillary Clinton's law breaking and mis-use of power. The Saudis have oil so they are exempt from our laws.

Make that: We never could afford to be stupid in the name of political correctness.

We are now beginning to reap the rewards of same.
