Bio Terrorism Suspect Extradited From Pakistan To US?
A most intriguing story is reported by the Pakistan daily "The News" from Karachi. [We have rephrased the story to make it shorter. Editor]
Pakistan handed over a suspected foreigner to the U.S. authorities at Karachi in mysterious circumstances in the early hours of Tuesday. There are strong suspicions that he was Jamil Qasim Saeed Mohammad of Aiz, Yemen. He came to Karachi in 1993 from Sana and was a student of microbiology at Karachi University, and had connections to some infamous organizations.
He had been missing for a month, and the Pakistan Interior Ministry was looking for him. A Falcon aircraft owned by the U.S. Air Force, landed at the Karachi airport from Amman at around 01:00 hours to fetch the suspected man, and departed at 0240 for Amman.
The entire operation was so mysterious that all persons involved in the operation including U.S. troops, were wearing masks. A masked U.S. trooper was filming the entire operation.
The wanted person handed over to the U.S. forces was not a Pakistani national as he was addressed as a deportee.
Your editor checked the US FAA civil registry http://registry.faa.gov and is not sure if he should be surprised that the registration number N379P is neither assigned nor reserved.
A source familiar with US law enforcement suggests to us that the filming indicates that the deportee will be processed within the US criminal justice system. The taping would be part of the proof, if required, before a court that the individual was not kidnapped but handed over in a legal manner by a Government with whom the US has an extradition treaty. We are sure our readers would be most interested if knowledgeable persons could comment on the above.
Everyone knows it was American right wing rednecks.
The FBI told us so.
Orbat is a highly reliable military analysis site thats mostly subscription based. We shouldn't throw this one out too quick...
It will be by the time they get finished with it.
Isnt that special?
The FBI told us so.
No they didn't.
Dang! I would rather they hung him by his fingers and drilled small holes into his kneecaps until he told us the whole story.
Oh well.
Remember the previous thread said that they were flying him to Amman, Jordan. The Jordanian military has strong ties to Great Britain and the Brits have a lot of experience with IRA terrorists. I wouldn't be surprised if a Brit team interrogation team isn't helping him to remember right now. I suspect that he will never set foot in this country. It is the last place we want him to be. He'd get "legal counsel" and dummy up.
Now, where are those threads about the FBI wanting to use torture...
I don't think that would bother Saddam to see it.. he's executed his own family members.
OK. Saddam goes first, then the hell-bitch-biowar doctor.
The FBI told us so -- says who?
