About the only thing I ever liked about LBJ was his comment on Gerald Ford - "he can't chew gum and f*rt at the same time".

Everything that has come out of this guy's piehole the last few years has been an embarrassment. Hey, Mr. Accidental President, please shut up and go away.

Considering the fact that he currently has no “rank” in the Republican party above “voter”, this isn’t much of a claim.

It's so nice to know that we live in a time where the worst thing we have to worry about is gay marriage.

No news from Detroit or Ford.

That Gerald would want equal treatment for 'happy' people should not surprise any who have followed his 'aging'.

When will Betty step up to the microphone and tell us that poor Jerry has been suffering from dementia for some time now?

You have the wrong name on the article..it should be "Why We Need to Avoid Liberal Republicans"

The economic conservatives have very little in common with the social conservatives. At some point the party must address this..as in California and Riordan right now!

I believe LBJ's comment was that:

"Jerry played football too long without a helmet".

Sure Gerald, I am sure God won't mind blessing America while we embrace the likes of those that stood at the foot of the cross of Jesus mocking His son while his physical life ebbed away.

I think I would have a stroke on the spot if this broad ever penned a column that had virtually nothing to do with promoting her lifestyle.

Jerry Ford's bold embrace of gay Americans is an historic breakthrough for a nation dedicated to equal rights. And it underscores the increasingly visible support of gay Americans by prominent Republicans.

Prominent? Since when? This man doesn't make me want to embrace his madness.

Jerry, don't go away mad. Just go away!!

The solution to this is for federal, state and local governments to not penalize or punish anyone for being married. No tax incentives or punishments, no laws making it easier for your spouse to get your property if you're stupid enough to die without leaving a will, etc. etc. The institution should be purely religious with no state recognition whatsoever.

I think a gay man should be allowed to marry a gay woman. (Wait... now who's gonna hold the door for who?)

Mr. Ford is seeking acceptance from the Hollywood left. Or may be he is high on drugs?
