Why the world is ending - at least at Freerepublic (humor and opinion)

I had posted the below reply to a now deleted thread, "Why is the world ending, Freerepublic Chicken Little" or something like that (I was not the originator). I will try to start a similar thread in the more appropriate opinion category - ok moderators? ------------
Why is the world ending?
Well, I think its quite obvious from the reports here at FreeRepublic today that the world is ending:
1. Al Qaeda airplane seen flying over daycare in Monroe, NC. White powder then noticed on cars and kids. (Please ignore the concrete plants nearby).
2. Al Qaeda leaves threatening note on airliner, passengers forced to evacuate.(bomb not found, but note was on real paper - has it been checked for anthrax?).
3. Al Qaeda kills three people by anthrax. (please ignore that meanwhile thousands killed on highways over same time period).
Basically, people tend to fear the unknown. And for the US, the real "unknown" is real danger, high risk danger - like living in Afganistan, the West bank, etc. We have it made in this country, so well in fact that we are plain old soft, silly, and stupid as to what real danger is.

you're right. i mean -- just think how stupid it would have been to pay any attention to 19 dinky little guys who had nothing more than box cutters and little pocket knives. nothing to get all upset about. let's just all forget it.

I too had just posted to the thread, but fortunately had a second copy of the post window still open, so I copied my original reply to here. Not sure why the first one was deleted, but likely was in wrong category for humor/opinion. Or, maybe one of the moderators was guilty of posting one of the "sky is falling" articles I refer to above, lol.

As I stated before I was so rudely interrupted....it is a scientific fact that the increasing amount of world tin-foil is causing a severe solar reflectivity problem causing a substantial cooling of the world atmosphere causing the now cooler, denser, sky to fall.
