Been a while since I saw a poll to Freep on FR. Thought this one might be a good one.

The question as in the title- Is there grounds to impeach the Supreme Court?

Current results:
Yes-202 ========= (92%)
No - 16 = (7%)

Link for the poll is HERE

It should be 'are there grounds,' but I'm not surprised those pinheads don't know that.

Them talk pretty someday.

Yes. There were 2 that should have been impeached for their votes. (But I answered the poll, "no")

Um... in general? Or for some specific "crimes"?

Looks like a very stupid poll.

Judges "shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour"

This is a different standard from the President.
"The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

I agree, but I read a comment on DU that the poll looked to be "Freep Proof", so I felt it my duty to dispel that notion :-)

Now really, don't be so critical... after all, it all depends on what the meaning of "is" is...

Well, I followed the link, but i didn't vote. First of all, it is ambiguous and ungrammatical. IS there grounds...Huh? for Impeachment of the US Suprememe Court? The question didn't make any sense to me. Does it mean "Should individual Justices be impeached?" It reads as if it is asking if the Court itself may be impeached. Is this reaching back to the presidential election debacle? If so, then there would be 7 justices, not 5, who apparently would be subject to impeachment proceedings. Or maybe it would be the 2 justices that voted against the majority? Who knows? Or is this meant to be a generic poll? Or maybe i'm just clueless in general. (And no, I don't think the US Supreme Court Justices should be impeached - I don't subscribe to the notion that President bush was "selected, not elected")
