WHO Reads WHAT and WHY:
1. The Wall Street Journal is read by the people who run the country.
2. The New York Times is read by people who think they run the country.
3. The Washington Post is read by people who think they should run the country.
4. USA Today is read by people who think they ought to run the country but don't really understand the Washington Post. They do, however, like their smog statistics shown in pie charts.
5. The Los Angeles Times is read by people who wouldn't mind running the country, if they could spare the time, and if they didn't have to leave L.A. to do it.
6. The Boston Globe is read by people whose parents used to run the country and they did a far superior job of it, thank you very much.
7. The New York Daily News is read by people who aren't too sure who's running the country, and don't really care as long as they can get a seat on the train.
8. The New York Post is read by people who don't care who's running the country either, as long as they do something really scandalous, preferably while intoxicated.
9. The San Francisco Chronicle is read by people who aren't sure there is a country, or that anyone is running it; but whoever it is, they oppose all that they stand for. There are occasional exceptions if the leaders are handicapped minority feministic atheist dwarfs, who also happen to be illegal aliens from ANY country or galaxy as long as they are democrats.
10. The Miami Herald is read by people who are running another country, but need the baseball scores.

I Love #9. It has the most truth, IMO. LOL
So what's your favorite?
Perhaps you can add #11, etc.

I read FreeRepublic, because it's cheaper and more efficient than subscribing to all those others. Also, the commentary is more insightful.

Hahahahahaha! Wonderful post, Gracey! I like #9 too, except the unknown source omitted "homosexuals" from his comments. PC reigns.

#9 is the absolute best!!! I should know...my husband works there...he is constantly and routinely discriminated against because he is a "straight white male". That's why we have to fly away to Ireland soon...to escape those "liberals" over there. If anyone can tell me of a place in this country where we could live reasonably and without all of this insanity that we have here in the Bay Area, please let me know. Then we wouldn't have to go all the way to Ireland and could stay in what we used to think was OUR country.

National Enquirer......Because enquiring minds want to know.

FR also has a well-advised policy that pics must be posted whenever the topic involves good-looking women. Case in point: the Victoria's Secret thread earlier this week. And HLL has never, to my knowledge, failed to come through in this regard.

Wall Street Journal - damn' their editorial section is just getting better & better lately!
FreeRepublic - Spend most of my online time here
Chicago Tribune/Suntimes. Usually one on the train ride in, the other on the train ride home.

PLEASE come to TEXAS and don't waste any time. Our economy is good here, we have lots of high tech business and we even have some snow, if you move to the Dallas Fort Worth area. BTW, our housing is one of the least expensive in the nation. Our gasoline is .99 cents for regular. We have wide open spaces and we are mostly REPUBLICAN!!!
Welcome. We LOVE the IRISH too.

11.
Minneapolis (Red) Star & Tribune-- read by people who think they have intelligence to run the country but are miffed at its rejection of native sons Hubert Humphery and Walter Mondale from times past and now is content to inflict a combination like Wellstone & Dayton who lack both the intelligence and charisma of their predecessors.

#11 The Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps Times Good reminder. Should make for interesting reading about now.

The Salon website is read by people who are too incompetent to vote correctly and who don't know the difference between "running" a country and "ruining" a country!

Dallas is nice and it is in the Republic of Texas, which is bigger than Ireland. Some like to call us a state but we know better.
