Harry Browne has just disappointed me for the last time.
It is obvious that someone needs to step up and wrestle away the LP from this band of leadership. Either shout down the Bill Mahr wing or its finished.
Or maybe just abandon the LP and fight and tear into the the RP. The one effective tactic used by the left which is admirable is that they get into your face. I would gladly welcome a fight within the RP. Anyone else feel the same way?

Sorry for the vanity.

Are you telling me that Bill Mahr has a wing of the Libertarian Party? I refuse to watch him so I am not being sarcastic for asking!

If you think about it. There is a lot to agree on. It is just how we decide to handle it as a nation is where the differences are.

"Hello, my name is Larrylied and I am unable to stop bashing Libertarians."

Sorry for the vanity. It needed to be said. It is unfortunate that people are deemed guilty by association but the national LP leaders are their own worst enemies. I used to consider libertarians my ideological natural allies until I sampled some of the leadership and some of the grass roots opinions here on freeRepublic.

As a life long republican, I welcome you and those who feel as you do to the grand ole party. We are as diverse as any and need your influence and input desperately. The left tilt that has been noticable over the last few years can be slowed and stopped by solid people who believe in the founders idea of America.

It is just how we decide to handle it as a nation is where the differences are.Give me a break. The LP knocked out a GOP Senator in 1998 and another in 2000. Now Harry Browne sounds like Noam Chomsky. How much does it take to see where these people are? Do Libertarians have to have their convention at the Kennedy compound in Hyannis before everyone gets the point?

The impression left by many on this board is that the Harry Browne, Geraldo, Stern and Maher represent every Libertarian.
Or every libertarian is an anti-patriotic kook who does drugs, worships satan and has sex with farm animals.
But because the LP is so small, there is no room for good leadership. Libertarians have to decide whether or not to infiltrate the RP and eat it inside out or remain with a bunch of phonies.

Thanks, and I agree. It is silly to fight with a line between us. I would rather get in your face. :)

Amen! Look out.

Remain with a bunch of phonies? They are the phonies. Come on...let's stop this "let's pretend."
To: Liberty Teeth
I always say tell it like it is! I feel like the Republican party left me as I sure didn't leave them! I volunteered my time for them, oh well

Bring it on Liberty!

"Libertarians have to decide whether or not to infiltrate the RP and eat it inside out "Maybe you could share an hospitality suite with the Log Cabin Republicans.

I changed my registration to Libertarian when I read X41's lips and didn't like what I saw. I thought I was joining a group dedicated to what I thought was and is the biggest issue in public affairs--dramatically reducing the size of government.
What I got was literature from a bunch of stoners who were obsessed with fringe issues like legalizing marijuana--probably a good idea but way down there on my priority list of things that MUST be done. While the party gives lip service to smaller government, the party's resources have been hijacked by single issue groups.
So I'm back in the Republican party, warts and all. I suspect this post means its time for me to duck.

There won't be any hugs and kisses. I plan to go after folks. With a smile on my face. :)
The LP should just go away. There is no chance of Leadership. And thankfully the left has lost what is left of its credibility.
The only fight left is within the right. And you guys are push-overs....just kidding.
To: LarryLied
I got your point Larry. Is there any salt for my wounds?
