Houston: Staff of Mayor L.P. Brown Hangs Up on KSEV (AM-700) and Dan Patrick
Radio Station KSEV (AM-700), Houston TX | 28 November 2001 | me

Posted on 11/28/2001 6:49:15 AM PST by PetroniDE

Listening to conservative talk radio station KSEV (700-AM, Houston) and the Dan Patrick show.

Mayor L.P. Brown has been invited on numerous occasions to appear on KSEV (John Matthews, Dan Patrick, etc.). Obviously, L.P. Brown has refused to appear. He has been on other radio station in the city and one of the callers to that show asked why he never appeared on KSEV. Mayor Brown's answer was "I never have been invited:.

During the Dan Patrick show this morning, Dan Patrick called the mayoral staff and broadcast the conversation. After getting transferred several times, the staff HUNG UP ON HIM, LIVE ON THE RADIO. As I write this, Dan Patrick has attempted three times: twice he was hung up on, and the third time he was left on hold.

Here is an update:

Dan Patrick on his 4th try, said he wanted to make a donation ($10G) to the Brown campaign. Guess what? He was forwarded to someone on the campaign staff.

The person was not very polite, but Dan was able to explain that since Brown has appeared on other station, he wanted it known to KSEV listeners that Brown has been formally invited to appear on numerous occasions. The campaign worker took down some information and stated she would forward it to the communications department.

OK people, what odds do I get that the communications people will respond ???

That's not possible in the eyes of his brainless supporters. For that matter, it's not possible for his detractors, either! :-)

I have sone concerns about election fraud here. The polls indicate that the race will be close. We know what happens when democrats lose close elections.

I think such concerns are well-founded. There will be a poll watching effort by some Sanchez supporters -- the Brownies are already whining about it in the local media.

You must remember that poll watchers have not authority whatsoever. In fact, it's a shame poll watchers are even needed and it took years for republicans to even be allowed to have poll watchers. And, I hope I'm wrong, but Brown will be re-elected through massive fraud. There will be some precincts where more people will "vote" than even thought about voting in the general election, if you get my drift.

When I read this post I thought, "Brown must be really desperate if he'd finally decided to appear on KSEV" then I read that it was Dan trying to get him to appear.

That happens sometimes when I type postings and try to skimp on the proof-read. So far, no takers on the odds that Brown's communication department will respond.

If you live in Houston, I feel sorry for you!

I used to work offshore in the Gulf, and I had to go into Houston for meetings, etc. Never once had a good experience there. Filthy place, hot, muggy, crowded, with lowlifes begging money every 10 feet. Sort of like SouthCentral L.A., but without the nice climate...

Brown's dirty campaign will be followed by record fraud on December 1 mayoral election. The democratic corrupt machine knows very well how to steal elections. Orlando Sanchez’s record of honesty and conservative approach to Houston's problems during his six years in the City Council has him slightly ahead in the polls. We need a lot of poll watchers to minimize the traditional democratic voter fraud.

Brown won't talk on this radio station. I doubt if 1% of its listeners are inclined to even possibly vote for Brown.

On the flip side, even if he did appear, the foolish things he would say wouldn't hurt him with that radio audience. They've probably already voted for Sanchez in early voting, anyhow.

I couldn't agree more! Terry Mcscumbag being in town only makes me more uneasy. We will witness a miracle on saturday, when the dead rise and cast their vote for Lee.P.Brown.

Not living in Houston, but live in suburbs.
Made a donation to the Sanchez campaign, but since I do not live within city limits, not sure what else I can do.

I have a better idea. Make a call to Brown's office (COLLECT), telling them to shove their telemarketing campaign.

We donated to Orlando Sanchez too, but it's killing us we can't vote in the run-off.
