In the first defection of its kind, a 28-year veteran of CBS NEWS has written a tell-all book which names names and exposes elite media bias and slated coverage of events.

The DRUDGE REPORT has obtained the first copy of BIAS, A CBS INSIDER EXPOSES HOW THE MEDIA DISTORT THE NEWS -- an explosive new work by CBS NEWS veteran Bernard Goldberg.

The book set for release in January, presents an unprecedented blueprint of media bias as documented by an insider.

"Bernie Goldberg is a G-ddamn traitor," a CBS NEWS executive said late Friday. "The book is trash written by a bitter man who is now determined to settle a score."

Writing that he's never voted for a Republican for elected office, Goldberg exposes the bias he witnessed first hand during the nearly three decades he spent at the network.

Goldberg zeros in on CBS NEWS anchor Dan Rather and current CBS NEWS President Andrew Heyward, who is quoted as saying: "Look Bernie, of course there's a liberal bias in the news. All the networks tilt left."

I remember the election day eve broadcast by Rather on the radio - "... and if God smiles and Al Gore is elected president tomorrow..." made me want to drink the koolaid myself. It wasn't bias - it was pathetic, whimpering, fanny-smooching, adultation of the party, the Clinton myth, the whole leftwing stinking dream. We don't need no book to lay it out at this point.

Rather has been with CBS since around the time of JFK's assassination. Remember, he was fortunate* enough to be present when Ruby shot Oswald and got a scoop. Presumably the national attention he received led to the CBS job. In any case, he's been with them a lot more than 28 years.

*There is a more conspirational account, according to which his presence wasn't fortuitous.

More hyperbole from Drudge. How is any of this 'exclusive' or even all that big a news item? I read about this book days ago in MRC's Cyberalert.

Actually, CSPAN was first in showing the real story (of Washington politics) but its very success led to it being squished like a bug. When was the last time you heard somebody talk about seeing it CSPAN? Maybe Fox is being squished the same way, i.e, by hiring Whorealdo and company to alienate the viewers and bring the network back into (the leftist) line?

I give this guy a lot of credit for, though stating the obvious, giving us the inside accounts of how these Bolsheviks operate their collectivist propaganda mills. Goldberg is also to be commended for having the guts to tell the simple truth about the media knowing every major network and news publisher except perhaps Fox will blackball him.

He's already been blackballed, for many years in fact. I've been wondering what he's been doing lately. A book! I should have known!

Looks like the Mafia finally breaking ranks after years of "omerta".

Hopefully, the public will read the book, if they can tear themselves away from their sitcoms and sports events.

They split the world into Republican, DemoRats, and "Independents" to give equal time to every idiotic, minority, or socialist view while lumping every type of non-leftist into one little bit of the spectrum. They haven't bothered to invite conservatives or even moderate non-leftists to either moderate their shows or appear on their discussion panels. Somebody made those "editorial" decisions and ended their independence and viability forever.
