Ann Coulter to Speak at Columbia U. Tonite (12/4)

Posted on 12/04/2001 6:17:02 AM PST by HarleyWoodrowMantz

Ann Speaks Tonite in NYC (Columbia U)

The talk is scheduled for 7pm, Tuesday, December 4th. They had to change the room today because of increased interest in the event.

The new location is 603 Hamilton Hall.

When entering Columbia from the Broadway gate at 116th, keep walking along College Walk past the Sundial, between the two libraries (Butler and Low).

Hamilton is the first brick building on the right. Take the elevator to the 6th floor, and room 603 is on the right.

I suspect the left-wing protesters will wear black bandanas on their heads in solidarity with the Taliban. Will someone stop by K-Mart and get some birthday party hats for our side so we could ridicule the lefties.

When I was at Columbia ( I graduated in 95) the left liked to protest out in front and heckle the person as they came in. Bring her through the basement from Kent to Hamilton. Then the leftists will all be outside waiting for her so they won't be able to heckle her talk. When they find out they will be all frustrated and dejected.

You should go sometime. It's free. There are good hors d-oeveres and drinks are free as well. It is a little elitist and snobby in a Jonah Goldberg kind of way. Perhaps we should do a tri-state freeper outing next month.

1. Harley, who are you? I thought I knew all the other Freepers at CU. (You can privately mail me.)

2. Please bring cameras to document leftist protests.
While most of the lefties seem to understand that closing out evenbt would make them look like hypocrites, there are the totalitarians who rejoice in their success from expelling the AIA conference in 1998.

3. If you are not a student or graduate attending, I would suggest being on your best behavior as Columbia security makes little distinction between leftist perpetrators and conservative victims.

Cordially,
Ron Lewenberg
President, Columbia College Conservative Club

The far left is planning to make a mess. This could be fun to watch.
Below is an e-mail discussing their reactions. If they weren't serious, it would actually be funny.

Subject: [PFP-chat] No Dead Roses (or live ones) for Coultier!
Date: Tue, 04 Dec 2001 06:03:24 +0000

Dear everyone
I am glad the coordinating committee is planning to do something about this racist, war mongerer. I also think Ginger misses the reason why someone like Coultier advocates murder of people of color and the deportation of immigrants. It's not a simple case of "hatred in her logic". These pundits defend a ruling class that depends on the demonization and scapegoating of minorities inorder to divide working people. Bigotry, in the case of a very educated person like Coultier, is a means to distort the real reasons behind the war and blunt all social relations.
As for the affirmative action protest that Ginger refers to, I was one of the organizers and have a different take on it. This was a protest against Dinesh D'souza, a career academic apologist for slavery and all the crimes committed against Blacks in the U.S. When the University found out we were protesting a conservative conference D'souza was speaking at, the University actually cancelled the event. That was a small victory for those of us who despise racism and bigotry. We didn't feel "foolish"- we felt great that we were fighting for the rights of people of color. I am proud of that protest.
Actually, since Columbia moved the conference location as a result of the protest,we got to eata their pizza dinner!
Back to Coultier. If she can't get to spread her racism and make alot of money off of it then maybe a few more immigrants won't get deported.
That's a good thing. Don't you think!

Mostafa

John Reed: These pundits defend a ruling class that depends on the demonization and scapegoating of minorities inorder to divide working people.

Leftist scum like Mr. Reed like to bandy about over-used cliches like "working people." But I'd bet that Mr. Reed and his cronies have never worked a real job in their life. They work the system and leech off the good graces, and coerced contributions, of others.
