Alike: Both ultimately committed treason. Not alike: Arnold, at least, began and fought galliantly and brilliantly as an American Patriot. His temper and and his discontent with his superiors led to his treasonous act. Arnold fled to Britain and lived out his life in relative obscurity and was generally held in disdain by the very people he conspired to support.
Johny Jihad is just a punk with a twisted mind who made bad decisions and became a traitor purely by his own desire to become a good muslim. He's not worthy to clean the mud off Arnold's boots. His future on this planet is questionable.

Quite different in one respect. Arnold was a mature, trained soldier, one of the best officers in the Continental Army until his treason. Walker isn't worth the snot to blow him to hell.

Walker looks like a stupid one in this photo. How much sense did this guy have to begin with? He could not stay in school.

Treason is what they have in common, hopefully, Walker meets a firing squad, which Arnold avoided.
To: cinciphil; OLDWORD
One of the first military trials conducted by Americans was the one that General Washington ordered for Major John Andre, a British officer and one of those who engineered Benedict Arnold's defection. Andre was captured behind American lines, in civilian clothes, with a letter of instruction from Arnold in his shoe, concerning the burning of New York City.
After Andre's conviction, Washington proposed to British General Clinton that he would exchange Andre for Arnold. Clinton refused. Andre's last request was that he be executed by firing squad, which was a military death. Washington refused, and Andre was hung by the neck until dead, the usual punishment for a common spy.
Recall Benjamin Franklin's comment to his collagues in the Continental Congress when the Declaration of Independence was adopted. He said, "We must hang together, or assuredly we will hang separately." Hanging would have been the fate of all major supporters of American independence, had the Revolution failed.
Only one American patriot faced a possible different death. Tom Paine was invited to France and was elected to its Assembly, after the French Revolution. When the Jacobins turned on each other during the Terror, Paine was jailed and threated with being fed to the guillotine. He was spared in the nick of time because of the intercession of President Jefferson.

An added comment: Arnold joined a patriotic cause and fought heroicly for the freedoms we enjoy today, even though he never reaped their benefits. Johny Jihad received his freedoms as an American at birth, but decided to join a cause whose foundation is based on the destruction of the very freedoms he was born to. I don't know that you can quantify traiterous acts, but if you can, Johny has Arnold beat by a mile.

Arnold was a courageous combat leader for the Colonists before being repeatedly screwed by the political hacks. That is why he took the action he regretted to his dying day. The story of Bennedict Arnold is an indictment of the political scum that inhabited our side. Read "Rabble In Arms" for a slightly different view of this man.

Both were traitors, but I have to ask; Why would a family release a photo of their child that made him look like the moron he is unless they also are morons and are accustomed to the moronic look on his face?
This might explain why they still defend him after what he has done. I suspect the whole family are morons.

You'd have to wonder about any kid with a mother who named him after scotch whiskey.
To: mostlyundecided
Both named after food/drink.
Wonder if the new breakfast "traitor's special" at local greasy spoons will be:
Eggs Benedict and coffe flavored with Johnny Walker Black scotch whiskey!

They both are A Mans Man
Benny was a valiant warrior. A true mans man.
Johnny bin Walkers toga will soon be considered a nice dress for his 275 lbs., Fort Leavenworth, cell mate bubbas enjoyment at will. Johnny will be a mans man from another perspective.
Mom, dad, Id like you to meet my new Mullah ... Bubba bin Inme

Alike: Treason.
Not Alike: Benedict Arnold was a military genius. His betrayal put George Washington into a temporary despair.
Snotty Walker is an empty headed B.S. poltroon who probably could not operate his AK-47 (it's sometimes called a 'chimp rifle').
