Is "Drudge" down...? (Can we cheer him up?)

The DrudgeReport.com seems to be down -- my attempts to visit the page for the last fifteen minutes keep failing.
Is anyone else having trouble accessing the site?
If you had to run a Web site that got over a million hits a day, where would you go for ISP and server support? What would you do to protect the site from hacking? How does this guy do it?

By the way, here in NYC I can listen to him for an extra hour and a half each Sunday during his show on WABC. My favorite part, believe it or not, is Lynn Samuels. She always makes me laugh.

I've also noticed that many times his headline links back to his own page, in a frustrating circular dead-end.

It's down now, but it was up most of the day. You're not missing much, Saturday and Sunday seem to be slow days for Drudge. I believe the main link all day today was the video of Osama about being satisfied with the damage on 9/11.
Drudge seems to be down a lot, but he does get a lot of hits. I won't tell him how to do his job, because he's doing a good job of it (as far as being first, fast, and unobtrusive with those ads in an era of popups and other annoyances).

I tried him about 37 minutes ago and couldn't get a responce. I am not sure I would want to cheer him up either.

Yes, someone had better get to work drudging his web site back up...

Aawwwwwww....! One of the most accessed Web sites in the world goes down, and a Conservative-friendly one at that, and it's not breaking news?
Impacting hard...

What would you do to protect the site from hacking?
Personal preference is run FreeBSD (but Linux will do as well). disable all services except http; put it behind a proxy & packet filter box.

It could be the HAT!!

McCoy to Kirk: "She's dead, Jim."

He's still down... Usually he gets up and running very quickly, and never is down for much more than a little "burp." Today, I guess, he's got some serious gas.

Who is Lynn Samuels? I listen to him here on the west coast and get him for the full 3 hours.
I have never heard of this person. Enlighten me, please.
