MISSING intern Chandra Levy is dead, and shortly after she went missing on April 30, her body was dumped over the Atlantic Ocean, according to Vanity Fair sleuth Dominick Dunne.
On Thursday night, Dunne was a guest on Westwood One radio host Laura Ingraham's show. Dunne said that although Rep. Gary Condit - relieved to be out of the spotlight after Sept. 11 - is running for re-election in California, he is still under suspicion in the Levy case.
Dunne said on the air that he was working with the FBI on the case and has "uncovered new leads" which show that Levy may have stumbled into a noxious ring of prostitution, sex slaves and Middle Eastern sheiks in Washington, D.C., which might have contributed to her disappearance.
Dunne - who has a habit of finding the most bizarre witnesses to violent crimes - claimed he was contacted this fall by a world-renowned American "horse-whisperer," who helps prepare racehorses for Middle Eastern businessmen.
According to Dunne, the horse expert met an impeccably dressed, well-connected Middle Eastern man this summer who claimed to have seen Levy being put on a plane after her disappearance.
Described as a "procurer" of young women for Middle Eastern diplomats in Washington, the man told Dunne's American source that on or after April 30, he saw Levy being put on a private jet, surrounded by five men, "but she wasn't walking."
The Middle Easterner, whom the FBI is trying to identify, supposedly said, "Rep. Gary Condit was a frequent guest at the Middle Eastern embassies in Washington" where young women would be brought for "nocturnal pleasures."
The procurer supposedly told Dunne's contact that some time before April 30, Condit confided to one of his Middle Eastern friends that he had been involved with a woman and wanted to end it, but that she was "threatening to talk." According to the second-hand account, an exasperated Condit allegedly said, "She's driving me crazy."
Dunne's source was convinced that "Condit created the atmosphere that led to Chandra's disappearance."
Dunne had so much faith in his source that he even traveled to Dubai several months ago to catch the horse races and meet with the mysterious Arab - but the man never showed.
The FBI, which had previously described the case as cold, is now working to track down the names and whereabouts of the individuals in Dunne's tale. Neither Condit's office nor Dunne returned calls by press time.

Those crazy Muslims again. You never know what they are going to do next.

This is the second report on the Dominick Dunne story. It should be possible to track down Condit's connections in Washington with Middle-Easterners and Arabs. Considering that he is a member of the House Intelligence Committee, and that if there's anything in this he would be eminently blackmailable by these people, I trust someone is checking up on this.

This sort of makes what Chandra's parents said in their last interview clearer. They said something to the effect of that if their daughter hadn't met Condit she would not be missing.
Dunne had contacted the Levy's, therefore they knew this story, and now I understand why they said what they did. I thought it was odd at the time.
Sounds as though Condit may have said this to his "friends" knowing they would take care of it for him, if this story is true.

You betcha Dunne does good work, and it is from experience since his own daughter was murdered by a boyfriend. He has fantastic instincts, and a vast array of contacts.
He has written many books on crimes that he has investigated, and he is no dummy about this subject and well researches his articles and books.

Sorry, but I find this theory absolutely ludicrous. White-slavers do not kidnap Jewish interns of the streets of Washington, DC, not even in books. The only interesting thing is that it is so like the absurd "Shanghai Surprise" story that the cops used to avoid a proper investigation of the disappearance (actually, murder) of Joyce Chiang. If you recall, Joyce, who used to work for Condit's close friend and campaign contributer, Rep. Howard Berman (D-CA), vanished from the Starbucks near Condit's Dupont Circle condo after receiving a mysterious page from Dulles airport. The attractive former intern's decomposed remains were pulled out of the Anacosta River about 18 months before Chandra's disappearance. As in the Condit-Levy case, the FBI were brought into the investigation and, of course, the killer was never identified.

The other thing is these wealthy Arabs overwhelmingly go for pale nordic-looking blonde chicks, too.

Dunne is a smart guy who does good work. This bears watching. He's also a shrewd self-promoter who knows how to get his stuff read.
The story is highly outlandish. I mean, some guy "witnesses" Levy hustled onto a plane by a passle of heavies? What was he doing? Just hanging around the airport that day watching the planes take off?
And then, heck, wouldn't ya know it? The one guy who can wrap the whole thing up in a pretty little bow and hand it to Dunne doesn't show up for the big meet. Dagnabit! I hate it when that happens!
Sounds like a third rate Mickey Spillane novel. Give me a break.

Dunne had so much faith in his source that he even traveled to Dubai several months ago to catch the horse races and meet with the mysterious Arab - but the man never showed.
Actually what Dunne said was that the mysterious Arab, supposedly told the horse whisperer that he had a videotape of Dunne in Larry King talking about the Levy case and that Dunne went to the Dubai Stakes (which is held in England, not Dubai, at the Newmarket Racecourse) and milled about hoping that this man would come up to him, as he does not know the guys name or what he looks like, but was told the guy knew what he looked.

Dunne wrote about it in Vanity Fair.

The one point I would buy is that Condit created the atmosphere that led to Levy's disappearance. I think he let it be known, perhaps to his outlaw biker friends, that some broad (his thinking, not my term) was bothering him and he wished she would just disappear. And the rest is history.

The White Slave trade, I regret to say, does definitely exist.

White-slavers do not kidnap Jewish interns of the streets of Washington, DC, not even in books. a pervert shiek could get some kicks 'sullying' a Jewish intern-also white slavery is alive and well- no doubt some sexcapades goin on in DC, and likely more u.s. politicos are/were horney enuff to go to the trough offered by the arab 'diplomats'.

Aren't sheiks the ones who took Condit off the front page and replaced him with "terrorists?"
Nah....no congressman is THAT powerful!
Just a passing thought.

"Those crazy muslins again" ...
I thought they didn't LIKE women? What's this with prostitution?
Rhetorical question ... does not need an answer, does it?
