What do you Boycott?
What do other Freepers boycott? Where do we put our ideological beliefs into economic practice? There seems to be a multiple calls to boycott this or that, but seriously how many things can a person boycott? The lists seem to be endless and for sanity sake I think I tune most of them out. I tend to have two lists. For example I haven’t worn a pair of Levis (or Dockers) for many years, due to their support of the homosexual agenda over the Boy Scouts. The following is my serious list:
United Way (since ’78!)
Levi Straus
Berkeley
San Francisco Chronicle
While I sometimes jump on a boycott for a week or two they tend to fade with time…Some survive. A more informal list of things I avoid but perhaps not as stridently, are as follows:
Florida Orange juice (remember when they dropped Rush?)
Dan Rather
Jane Fonda, Ed Asner, Woody Harrilson, etc
Time Magazine
Bob Dole (?? When Bob refused to support Ollie North, I vowed to not support Bob!)
Ben & Jerrys
On the flip side I’m going to Disney Land this year. Sorry Baptists!

Any TV program,newsclip,blurb,or mention of Bill & or Hillary Clinton,Sheila Jackson-Lee,Maxine Waters,John Conyers,Jesse Jackson,the revolting DNC chairman of corruption, Rengal,Teddy Kennedy,Dashole,Gephart,NOW,PETA,Carville etc...
Billary are zero tolerated the rest barely a zero.

I'm boycotting some soft drink company for giving some boy/girl singer 25M but don't remember why...also some foreign car manufacturer for caving into blackmail!

I'm currently boycotting Levi Strauss, Smith and Wesson, Kmart, Radio Shack, Chrysler, and movies produced by Richard Donner or Dreamworks.

BET K-Mart Homosexual anything. Major Network News because of Jennings, Blather, Brokaw. Those stupid bank ads with the sanctimonious kid in the white shroud outfit. MTV

Oh, and I also boycott United Way as well. I remember working at a company (which will go unnamed) about twenty years ago, and when the annual United Way drive came around I was literally FORCED into giving. I told my boss time and time again that I didn't want to give (I was not even getting by at the time, for God's sake I was LIVING IN MY VAN BECAUSE I COULDN'T AFFORD RENT!) but I got called into his offec and was then told that I had no choice, I could either donate or I would BE FIRED! The department was going to have a %100 donation rate no matter what, and if I didn't donate then I would be fired, and then their donation rate would remain at %100. So I donated, even though I didn't have the money to give.
From that point on I have burned with an intense hate toward United Way. As far as I am concerned they stole money from me when I could least afford it, and now that I'm well off I won't give them one dammed dime of my hard earned money. A pox on United Way, let them go out of business, I despise them with every bone of my body.
