Dear Precious, Heavenly Father,

I thank You and praise You for Who You art, Almighty God, the Great I Am, Creator and Ruler over all things, Praise Your Holy Name! Father, we are in awe that You would love us so much that You would give Your very best, our precious Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ to come to earth to become the perfect Sacrifice for lowly man. What love! What amazing love and what mercy! Praise Your Holy Name!!

Father, as we read Your Words in today's Scripture, we consider what an awesome privilege it is to be part of Your church, to see the responsibility set before us....to think that You have chosen Your church to show forth Your wisdom to not only those around us but also to Your angels. How Your angels must have wondered as Jesus came to earth to take on the form of man, to a station beneath even them, and how they must have felt to see Him suffer and die to secure salvation for those who could only fail Him and bring dishonor to Him, in our own strength, and how they must have rejoiced to see Him Victor over death and the grave and to see Him ascend to His Throne to rule forever as King of kings and Lord of lords. What an awesome thing to wonder about His heavenly host and how they must wonder as we, His Church, stumble on complacent and lethargic about Your purpose and plan for this world. Father, how we are failing You, how cold and indifferent we have become. Father, we pray that You will forgive us of these sins and that You will create in us, Your church, a clean heart and right spirit through which You can do a mighty work...that the whole world will know that You alone are God, You alone are worthy of our worship and praise. Lord, we need revival, we need it in Your church, we need it in this nation. Father, You alone can make things right. We cry out to You to please fix what is wrong.

Father, Your Word tells us that we are to redeem the time...as we look about us, surely Jesus is coming soon and there are so many without, not knowing the saving power of Jesus in their lives. Please help us Lord, turn our focus on You, give us hearts that desire only You and Your purpose, compel us to be students of Thy Word and then give us eyes that see and hearts that understand your message of purpose, comfort, and salvation. Hallelujah! Praise Your Holy Name!

Father, it is our prayer that You will once again be high and lifted up in our nation and its government would be one that pleases You. This is well beyond the realm of possibility with us but we can do all things through Christ Who strengthens us. Revive us again, Lord. Awaken us. And glorify Yourself in us.

Lord, we lift up our President, George W. Bush, to You today asking that You move in his heart and mind and asking that You protect him from all danger and harm. We know he is just a man and do not look to him as the salvation of this country. However, Father, we thank You and praise You for allowing him, a child of Yours, to be placed in this high and powerful office. Thank You, for reminding us our need for You, and that it is You places the leaders of this world in their positions. Thank You for making us more aware of our dependence on You and showing us our President's need for You in his life. Father, You have brought us through much in this nation, but we are still engaged in spiritual warfare. Satan is still vying for the soul of this nation. Father, we know that the battle is Yours. Please strengthen Your church with a burning desire to pray for our President and this nation. Lord, we believe that President Bush is Your child and that his desire is to please You. Father, we pray that You would help him to do just that. Give him wisdom, Lord, to know how to deal with the issues which face this nation, give him strength and courage to stand for what is right. Please protect his family and his entire administration, surround him, Father, we pray, with those who love You and are committed to serve You and honor You in every aspect of their lives. Be our help, Lord. Be our guide. Be our light in darkness and our peace in chaos. Save America Lord. You are our only hope.

Finally, Lord, we pray for Israel. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and pray that America will stand firm in its friendship for Israel. Lord, never let us forsake her, for we know that she is precious in Your sight. Help her, even as You help us. For it is in the precious, holy, and matchless name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.

Father in Heaven, oh how we sing your praises, for you alone established the earth, and it is you who takes care of all your creation. We shall be satisfied with your goodness.

Father bless our President, give him wisdom and knowledge, teach him your ways, keep him close to you and may this nation be blessed. May Your people praise you and give thanks to you. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

Now to Him Who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think - according to the power that works in you - to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Heavenly Father I praise You for Your gift of Grace, through Jesus, for each of us.I worship You the God who Provides all we need. You provided a way to Yourself for us, and You provided grace and mercy to live overcoming lives each day. Please do according to Your Word, above all that we ask or think...and wake up Your Church which is asleep (for the most part). What else would explain the lack of worship of You and lack of reading Your Word and lack of sharing Your Gospel....God who loves us and wants a relationship with us ....and we go on our merry way living like every other unsaved man or woman...It's unthinkable!! Lord I love You and pray You will move in Your Church!

Father, I pray for my Mother-in-law tonite who is getting weaker and frailer every day and her bones are cracking...Lord help her to trust You as her Savior. She is close and I pray Your Holy Spirit will work to move in her heart and my Father-in-law also.

Lastly I pray for our President, and our military and our law enforcement and our airlines...please keep them safe and give them success and wisdom from on high, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Ephesians 3, what an awesome chapter. And, DittoJed2, your prayer was so perfect in every word. I'm printing it out to read and pray at other times. And, califordubya, how inspired your prayer is. What a blessing to pray with you for our leaders, our nation, the church, and ourselves.
