I need help from all you freepers out there in America. I will begin teaching US Geography for EduKids Homeschool Co-op beginning in January. I would like to request from you freepers to send to my class postcards from your state. Can you please send postcards showing Americas beautiful points of interest, i.e., historical places, national parks, rivers, oceans, mountains, your hometown cities, etc? Show the class what America is made of and avail yourself to write well wishes or any positive comments you would like on the back of the card. This would be a wonderful project for these kids to enjoy. The school building's address is 2000 Alta Vista Dr., Evansville, IN 47712,%US Geography Class. Thank you for your kind support. I recently read in a magazine where a teacher did this for her class and they received over 3500 cards. Wow! (hint, hint)

I would like to know what a homeschool co-op is. Does that mean you share teaching classes with other homeschooling parents? Do you rent a building?

Just to expand their horizons a bit, don't forget to incorporate such things as territories and bases, territorial waters, airspace, and economic exclusion zones. These are important (remember the EP-3 incident and the stink over territorial airspace, etc?) also, it is important for economic reasons, such as in dealings with Canada over fishing rights off of Alaska and the Northeast.

My hubby taught a geography class to kids age 12-17. At the end of the semester, he gave them a blank map of the US and required the students to write in the states, the capitals, pertinent cities, rivers, lakes, etc.
