We're having a delicious lobster dinner at home, a drink of the bubbly at midnight and I shall celebrate New Year's here at Free Republic. How about you?

I've been in my closet since Y2K rolled in, still waiting for the end of the world.

Tacos, spinach/artichoke chip dip, and milk. A sick 2-two-year-old, with mommy and daddy getting sicker by the hour...

It SOUNDS much worse than it is...I'm actually looking forward to waking up tomorrow!

My wife's homemade lasagna, some Rocky Road ice cream, and fresh-ground coffee for me. We had the wine last night. :-)

Happy New Year!

I'll go out for a drink, but by 2am I want to be in bed. The flu's a bummer.
Keep in mind, New Year's Eve normally doesn't end for me until noon the next day.

IMO, New Year's Eve is the night you surrender the roads to the AMATEUR drunk drivers.

Besides, everything I value is here...

Yep. Mr. Redhead and I never celebrate New Year's Eve. Jan. 1 comes whether we celebrate it or not, so we stay home, save our hearing and don't have to try to wedge our way to the bar... But Happy New Year to ALL you dear Freepers! I don't know what I would have done without your wisdom and your thoughtful posts during the last couple of years. I have learned a lot from all of you. Bless you all.

Hubby and I are having cheese chili dip/chips, veggies/dip, and champagne at midnight while we watch New Year's celebration on TV in New York. Hope I can stay awake!

Yes, it is. Also heard from "knighthawk" in the Netherlands, just ten minutes before his New Year began!

I'm going to sit in a darkened room in front of my computer and get drunk while reading FR. Then I'll pass out on my keyboard with a drink in one hand and my mouse in the other. LOL

Just kidding. Me and my babe are going to stay in. I've rented a movie called "Evolution" and we plan on watching that.
