Welcome to my home page.

I would like to thank souris for the above sig graphic;)

I would also like to thank my Lady, and Best Friend, GooberDoll, thanks for YOU, sweetie;))

You can always find me at the USO Canteen FReeper Style supporting our Troops.

The Canteen is a place of beauty and solace for our Fighting Men and Women around the World, a Home away from Home...

Snow Bunny, our Hostess, has a heart as big as all get out, and it is indeed my HONOR to be able to call her FRiend.

My job at the Canteen is to care for Beamer, our Big Lovable Lug of a Mascot.

Some photos of Beamer

Beamer is named after Todd Beamer, one of the Heroes of Flight 93 who coined the phrase LET'S ROLL!.

Beamer is such a pleasure to care for, however, he does get into trouble around the Canteen.

One day he wandered from the Canteen and started his bad habit of digging, and BOY did he dig....this was the result...

We tried to get it filled back in, but the National Park Service found it before we could and the rest is history.

We also had to purchase special equipment for Beamer due to his, shall we say size.....

The Canteen Pooper Scooper

Beamer sleeps with me at the Canteen everynight, and that is a challenge in itself as Beamer slobbers a person to death. Required sleeping items are a snorkel and face mask!

I also carry a towel around to wipe off Beamer's "wall kisses" as Snow Bunny puts it, when Beamer shakes that big head of his, LOL!!!

Just a little about me.

I enlisted in the U.S.Army on 4 November 1971.

I went to Basic Training at Fort Dix, New Jersey, then on to AIT at Fort Huachuca, Arizona as a 96 Delta, Aerial Photo Interpretor. In June 1972, I was shipped to Germany for 2 1/2 years fighting the Cold War from UP ABOVE.

I was initially stationed at Heidelberg, HQ, USAREUR and 7th Army Special Troops Group.

I was then detailed to work for the U.S. Air Force at HQ USAFE in Weisbaden.

Due to security clearances, I cannot comment on all my assignments during this period, however one thing I can comment on and am very proud of is the unit I was assigned to, the 497th Recon Technical Group, received the Presidential Unit Citation Medal for our work during the 1973 Arab Israeli War...yeah, we kicked some butt on that one, hehehehe:)

I was Honorably Discharged on 26 October 1974 and returned to my home state of Pennsylvania where I joined the PA National Guard, the 28th Infantry Division, or the "Keystone Division".

I was an 11 Charlie in the National Guard, 81mm Mortar Crew, then went on to FDC, or Fire Direction Control.

I hope you have enjoyed getting to know Beamer and me, now serious stuff...

My FRiends, we are at War against a murdering coward enemy that hides in caves and sends the young to do their murdering deeds.

Our Armed Forces are gallantly routing them one by one and bringing them to Justice (hopefully with a bullet)

I am so damn proud of these men and women and all the spouses that remain here, you all have my utmost respect and THANK YOU.

Here in Rapid City, SD, I have a special place in my heart for the fine men and women of....
