Whew! We DID it, California! We made history. . . Davis out, Schwarzenegger in.
Christ Follower first and foremost, family second, work third. . .
Partisan politics not exactly my cup of tea. But I sure can vote out evil and corruption and support good and honorable men (and women) to elected office!

In this time of War on Terror, a couple of quotes from the first elected President from the Republican Party come to mind:
During the Civil War, President Lincoln overheard someone remark that he hoped "the Lord was on the Union's side." Lincoln gave a straightforward reply:
"I am not at all concerned about that, for I know that the Lord is always on the side of the right. But it is my constant anxiety and prayer that I and this nation should be on the Lord's side."

In the summer of 1864, an old friend of Lincoln's, Joshua Speed, observed the President reading a Bible, and remarked:
"I am glad to see you so profitably engaged... if you have recovered from your skepticism; I am sorry to say I have not."
Putting his hand on his friend's shoulder, Lincoln replied:
"You are wrong, Speed. Take all that you can of this book upon reason, and the balance on faith, and you will live and die a happier man."
