I'm the proud and happy at-home mom of an almost 12 year old son and an almost 10 year old daughter. I'm the happy wife of a fine, hard working, family loving rancher. I'm a Registered Nurse, but now use my career treating injuries received by family members when caring for all of our pets;
cattle, dogs, cats, guinea pigs (never trust the pet store when they promise you they are both "female") and fish. My husband raises show cattle, my kids help, and I serve as phone answerer and secretary. I'm big into scrapbooking (although I never get enough time to do it), puppy training, and The Dose, which has really opened my eyes to politics.

I've always loved to write, and about a year ago self-published my book, "Home is Where the Mom Is; A Christian Mom's Guide to Caring for Herself, Her Family, and Her Home." I truly believe that all moms (ALL moms are "working moms") need to make time to take care of themselves, and they'll be better able to care for their family and home. I also believe that faith in God should be the foundation of every family (indeed every person). And despite the opinions of "experts" I know that moms are the ones who know their families best, and can make the best decisions for them, based on "expert" opinions AND what they know about their family. This is the basis of my book. If you'd like to read an excerpt, please go to www.homeiswherethemomis.com.

I have the deepest respect for the men and women serving in our armed forces, and their families. My prayers are with them for their safety, and God's peace to each and every one of them, no matter where they are.
