I am a Freshman Undergraduate at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. I am extremely conservative and I am proud to be on the far-right!

I wear hearing aides and I am hard-of-hearing. One thing I hate most about wearing them is that nobody feels comfortable asking me about them or they call me "hearing impared" for fear of hurting my feelings. Political correctness has done nothing for America! It hurts my feelings more to be called "hearing impared" than hard-of-hearing or deaf! It makes me feel as if I am not equal to the normal, aka, "priviledged" people of America. In fact, America has gone so liberal and politically correct that I have to make fun of myself to break the ice!!! I don't mind the jokes and I enjoy the humorous side of having hearing aides, but the jokes aren't what hurt, it's the fact that I have to use them to make others feel comfortable with me enough to get to know the REAL me!

So, allow me to break the ice right now... this joke is for all the liberals who won't laugh at it because they are too darn emotional: "I'm suing Verison Wireless. Yeah, their new "Can you hear me now? Can you hear me now?" slogan offends me. What? That slogan isn't new?!? It's been out for three years?!? Wow, I guess yesterday must have been the first time I've heard it! I guess I must have been on ROAM. I'm switching to Sprint anyways. I heard that you can hear a pin drop with their phones... actually, I didn't hear that, I saw it on tv."

Come on! You know that was funny!! I think I heard some distinctive liberal chuckles out there... or maybe that was just the feedback on my hearing aides. Anyways, if you don't believe that I really do wear hearing aides, I'll be happy to send you my picture. I know I will probably get e-mails from angry liberals now, so... "Bring it on." *Bush style*
