MY COUNTRY




I am in my early 50's 's married with two daughters (15 and 21). I have been "lurking" Free Republic since that horrible day of 9/11. I lost a friend in Tower 1 ...great guy, Kevin Murphy..left behind is a little girl and boy, and his wife Beth. They all lost a terrific father and husband and those who knew him lost a friend. I will never4get what these evil people did to us. I feel it is that important that we fight terrorism and those countries supporting terrorism with everything we have to safeguard my children, all children, America's future. For those who believe we have brought terrorism on to ourselves they are either ignorant or just plain stupid and I feel no real need to give any merit to such stupidity.

MY REASONS TO RUN


I started running about nine years ago after realizing just how out of shape this one time almost-athlete had become and wanting my wife and kids to have me around past sixty. I had trouble even running for five minutes when I started. My legs, ankles and body hurt. Since then and after many three to ten mile races over the years, three years ago I finally ran the LI half-marathon...Some inspirational quotes and statements that help me with running and with my daily life
