I’m a retired UC professor who lives in Riverside. Life in California has been – and still is – good for me and my family. Scenery, theatre, art – world-class and easy for us to get to. But things aren’t so good for people who have to commute, and for people with children in public schools. I think that one positive step would be to have a “None of the above – For a new election” option on the ballot for almost every elective office. That way, the people would at least have the opportunity to vote against the corrupt and the unqualified (the choice Californians face in November, 2002).
