I was born in Iowa but moved to CA in 1942 when I was 3&1/2 years old. So, I'm the closest thing to a native Californian as you can get. I quite high school to join the Navy in 1956. If you can recall, we had mandatory military service back in those days. I got out of the Navy as a 2nd Class Petty Officer.

I have been a consevative Republican all my life. I don't like government interference into my private decisions. However, I am concerned about health care. I have had some serious health problems, in the past few years. Fortunately, I am covered by my wife's employer's Health plan. I recently was hospitalized for four months, My bill was in excess of three million dollars. If I hadn't of had insurance, what would i have done? I don't know. I don't know what the answer is.
