TexasGreg is an Ordained Elder of the United Methodist Church and serves as pastor of a Church in North Texas. While a theological traditionalist -- he's a Wesleyan-Arminian and an Anglo-Catholic in terms of spirituality and sacramental practice -- Greg is also true to his Methodist roots by being willing to think outside the traditional "box" on many different topics.

Greg is a graduate of Southern Methodist University with the B.A. in History, Russian Language, and Theology, Duke University with the M.Div. in Theology and Bible, and Trinity College with the Ph.D in Systematic Theology and New Testament Textual Criticism. He is the author of several books dealing with Systematic Theology and the Sacraments, including his book, Grace Upon Grace, which, along with Seeking the Shepherd's Arms, is available for purchase from Amazon.com.

Greg runs his own website, RevNeal.org, where his theological writings can be read and his Sermons and Bible Studies can be listened to in Real Audio or as a podcast. His Sermon and Bible Study Podcasts can also be found indexed on iTunes. As a popular preacher, teacher, and retreat leader, Dr. Neal is often called upon to teach in the local church, undergraduate and graduate schools, on topics relating to Systematic Theology and the Bible.

As a political conservative, Greg is an advocate for a strong national defense, Gun-ownership Rights, the 1st Amendment cognate rights of speech and religious expression, and the right to life for unborn babies. He is opposed to open, unrestricted immigration, high government spending, extreme deficits (except for in times of war and national emergency), and the current Income Tax system -- he prefers either a national sales tax or a very low, even, fair flat-tax.

TexasGreg is single and lives with his Basset Hound, Dorcas, and a grey coated Viking Cat, Jeremiah.
