I’m a person who fluctuated between the Democrats and Republicans until this past summer. It was then that I had the chance to read Mark Levin’s Liberty and Tyranny, Ron Paul’s The Revolution, Glenn Beck’s Common Sense (in addition to Thomas Paine’s), and Barry Goldwater’s The Conscience of a Conservative; at that point, I completely dissolved my identity with both parties, and since then have referred to myself as a conservative. At this time, I am still trying to read The Federalist Papers, but still need a dictionary at hand to read it. Currently, I have Michelle Malkin’s Culture of Corruption and John Locke’s Second Treatise.
