Firmly believe in the journalism of the days of William Shirer, Edward R. Murrow, even a young Ernest Hemingway as a cub reporter with the Kansas City Star. The front page of a newspaper should always feature articles which who, what, where and when are stated in the first paragraph. The why comes in later paragraphs, but without the personal opinion or bias or thoughts of the reporter. Firmly believe in straight news, hard news, news that gives the facts and lets the reader decide for himself how he feels about an event or about an issue. Firmly believe in what was once called Journalism 101.

Still a news/political news junkie, but the journalism mentioned above that they use to teach at the Columbia School of Journalism died long ago and the mindset of jungle politics in the country today makes me feel like an orphan who just came home and am now among old friends.
