My town council was considering a resolution denouncing parts of the Patriot Act, and we have organized to successfully to oppose them. The next battle is for Bergen County, NJ (pop. 880,000) where they are trying the same thing.
I joined FreeRepublic the day Drudge released the story about Monica Lewinsky, back in January 1998. FReeping the former First Felon with dozens of fellow FReepers was always exhilirating.
Now I'm managing editor of The Jewish Voice and Opinion, a monthly publication that tells you what is really going on in Israel and to Jews in America.
I believe that third parties are harmful to conservative interests and decided to work within the Republican Party to try to advance our agenda. After being a FReeper activist within the Republican party for a few years, I finally made it to municipal chairman of the party. I live in a very Democrat town in northern NJ. While Bush didn't win here in 2004, his vote went up 92% compared with 2000.
