This won't work out good for Ukraine. Trying to negotiate from a position of such weakness will be a losing proposition for Ukraine. They picked the worst time to negotiate. Russia is pushing them back all over the battlefield and they are within weeks of launching a big offensive. Zelensky must be getting advice from the biggest moron of all, Biden.

Yeah, it sucks to needing to negotiate a cease fire when you are about to collapse and have no negotiating leverage. I have been making this point for over a year.

It has been plainly obvious for 18 months at least that this is where the Ukraine has been heading.

That is why I made the point that all aid should be directed to bolstering Ukraine defensive capabilities to give them the greatest leverage to negotiate an honorable and favorable cease fire agreement as soon as possible - last year.

In stead , morons and war shills were talking delusional Hitler Bunker happy talk about driving Russia out of Eastern Ukraine, retaking Crimea and Ukrainian tanks parading though Red Square. Now the only leverage they have is pressure from NATO and military pressure form NATO means direct NATO military intervention - ie WWIII

Never underestimate Biden;s ability for F things up. So, yeah, it sucks to be Ukraine but that is the reality of the situation and you go to war with what you got, not with what you wish you had.

And the reality is that the Ukraine has very little to go to war with because two years of war time destruction has drained the country of it capability and will to fight.

No amount of NATO aid is going to fix that problem short of direct NATO military intervention

Ukraine has been at the brink of collapse for many months and our leaders have lied to us about that fact while they desperately try to secure another round of futile funding to delay the inevitable and unavoidable military and economic crash until after the November elections.

Now, Putin is calculating whether it's in Russia's interests to rapidly move forward with an offensive while Ukraine is at it's weakest point and about to collapse in a US election year where US incumbent President is the weakest and most incompetent and cowardly in American history , or to wait until a potential Trump Presidency where he will be negotiating terms with a ruthless master negotiator in control of the most powerful military the world has ever seen.

Choices, choices .
