I know it is shocking but think about it.
The ones that come out unreformed are going to arm themselves anyway. So the only people who are hurt by this are those who come out and want to go straight. They are precluded from having the tools to defend themselves from the ones who are unreformed.
And it used to be the way we did it until comparatively recently. 1960s I think. You got out of prison, you got your weapons back.
And while people think "felon" and think some tatted up gang banger, your average felon is more likely to be someone who committed a nonviolent crime. Felony has been expanded to include moving a certain kind of bird out of your back yard.
It has gotten a bit out of hand.

Why stop at 16? Why doesn’t she advocate allowing 2-year olds to vote?
They must really be scared shi*tless of the election next year.
If they were sure that all these court cases, that seem to be blowing up in their faces, were so solid they wouldn’t care one bit.
But they care. And that, folks, is very telling.
Why not 10 year olds? Why not have Iranians come over here and vote? What about Hamas? While we’re at it, how about the Hezbollah? Aren’t these people the Squad supports?

She knows full well 16 year olds don’t have the maturity to vote, and criminals have given up their right! I’m beginning to think there’s no such thing as an honest democrat. I did know a very devout Christian woman years ago who was a democrat, but her family had been democrats since the civil war, and she was in error, though of course, she didn’t think so. The few honest demonrats are becoming independents more and more, but if they caucus with democrats, it makes little difference.
Move the age back to 21.

I’m for raising the voting age to 25. Any younger than that and you get a whole lot of emotional & non-critical thinking. Of course, that’s why Rat pinko bastards want teens to vote.
Of course the Democrats want their number 1 constituency to be able to vote. And remember Al Gore’s team contesting every military vote? The Democrats want to disenfranchise militry and veterans because they are Pro-American.
