It can be demonstrated that global winds rise over the Ecuador, and descend over the Arctic regions, hence the global winds are a transport for fine dust particles, that are deposited on the Arctic ice.... Concurrent with the upper wind circulation, are the changes in surface winds, caused by such events as the occurrence of mountain ranges, expansion of deserts, and other physical changes to the earth surface...The surface winds will be deflected by such changes and direct warmer air to the Arctic ice cap...
I have been using Wunderground for years. I think it’s the best weather site. It’s only been recently they went over the dark side on GW. I may have to rethink the ten bucks a year.
Why won’t they release their raw data? Because they know it was faulty. It is also contradicted by a Danish study.
"90-degree days"? You lucky dog! I'm in central Wisconsin and we have had one 90-degree day. June 23 the high was 93 degrees.
And I don't want people to think that we have been hovering at just under 90 degrees all summer because we have not. It has been a cold 'summer' with high temps rarely into even the '80's. Basically, this has been the summer that wasn't.
“... used ... tree rings to look at past climate”
-—<>-—<>-—<>-—<>-—<>-—
Invalid study.
Mann and Jone’s Hockey Stick data used those, and it has been demonstrated unequivocally that tree ring data is not reliable indication of temperatures.
I tried this but all the Roman numerals make my head ache.
There are strong indications that Marco Polo, the Chinese, and the Scandinavians sailed an ice-free Arctic Ocean in the years around 1000AD-1300AD give or take. There are maps and many other indications of exploration on the north coasts of Canada and Russia. That would make sense, since the temperatures of Earth were a couple degrees higher than the current temperatures (despite bogus studies such as this which deny the historical evidence)
All apparently using internal combustion engines.
The recent warming has been because Sarah Palin is Hot.
This arctic summer had been cooler because she was writing her book in San Diego.
