I am sick and damn tired of scientists telling everyone that we have to adjust our lifestyle because they think they know what the weather will be like in a hundred years. These retards can’t predict the weather from one day to the next, yet they would have us believe that they know what’s going to happen in 50-100 years.

Screw them.

Shouldn’t I buy a Hummer now? Wouldn’t this help reverse the climate?

We can only prove the last 2.0 to 2.5 million years though. That's as deep as the Antarctic ice goes where you can actually count on the layers being intact.

There is, of course, more ice down there, but it's pretty mangled, and may well have been completely melted ~ at least in the places where we are able to drill.

Over the last 2.0 million years the ice clearly shows that we've had 20 major glacial periods where ice predominates in the Northern Hemisphere. They were each punctuated by major interglacials that lasted 10,000 or more years.

Within the glacial periods there are smaller warm periods called interstadials. They last less than 10,000 years.

We are presently 5,000 years overdue for the beginning of the next glacial period. That means that something happened to forestall it and allow us to flop on over into an interstadial. It could be that we are at the end of the 2.0 million year long period of recurring glaciation, or we used agriculture to build up enough greenhouse gases that Earth stayed just warm enough to not ice up again.

If human activity has helped keep the Big Ice from forming, we must keep on doing whatever we were doing or we'll have two mile deep piles of ice on top of half the United States!

The Algore and his cronies are playing a very dangerous game.

I’m sick of the alarmists... IF something happens ( colder, warmer, sky falls etc) we’ll DEAL with it. When it happens. IF it happens. Until then, the money grubbing “scientists” will have to find real jobs...

The termites that live in and around rice fields may well be the only thing keeping Earth warm enough to be habitable in the Temperate latitudes.

Very good, I’ll use that line on our “safety” lady next week. She is a die-hard libtard that has a safety briefing every month about the latest impending doom.

Gee whiz, it is not the 1970s that stand out to me. The winter of 1984/85 sure does, and again about three years later, 1987/88. Or go back farther, 1948/49 was a real doozy also.

No, no, no..

You see, the cooling is because of all the warming. It if wasn’t so warm, it would not be so cold.

Got it?

I really like Joe Bastardi on accuweather.com. He provides the scientific information and really has a good sense of weather history for the last 20+ years and can spot patterns that are similar to current patterns. Quite fascinating.

Unfortunately they have made most of his stuff available only on their professional site and I don’t care about weather enough to pay for it.

It is the 1970s all over again.

Complete with a new Jimmy Carter, high unemployment, and an energy crisis...
