You start out your diatribe by calling those who disagree with you "tards", and then talk about the the usual insults.

Interesting.

What would it take for you to support the ticket?

Dump Romney.

When you vote against the Republican nominee, you lose. Period. Write-in’s? You lose. Sit on your hands? You lose. Vote for the “pure” conservative running under a different banner? You lose.

In my opinion, a bad Republican is always preferable to a good Democrat. Why? In the executive you have a 50-50 chance of getting a conservative on the Supremes. A democrat gives you 100% chance of a lefty. You also have a 50-50 with veto’s.

Why anyone would choose 100% lefty over 50-50 is beyond me. And while you think you’re voting a 100% conservative by writing in Palin, you are, in fact, voting for Obama.

So no, turn-out does not guarantee a Republican win. Don’t know where you got that idea. The only thing that guarantees a Republican win is a majority of votes for the candidate. That’s math from your childhood.

For me, no ticket with Romney on it can be rescued by any clever choice of VP. Between the magic underwear and the scorched earth campaigning and the leftist realities of a Romney regime as experienced by the good people of MA, there is no candidate whose goodness could offset the evil in that package. Yes, I’m saying it. Even if Sarah was his running mate, I would not vote for him. A vote for Romney is a vote for the death of Republican conservatism, and I will have no part in that.

Yes. Formatted and everything.

Did you understand this part:

An estimated 56% - give or take - of the Republican National delegates have been decided, but 44% have not. The numbers aren’t set in stone, yet, depending on what happens to the delegates who went to candidates that dropped out or in States like Iowa, where the actual choice will be made at caucus in June. “It ain’t over till it’s over.”

I’m sure that I won’t see Conservative blogs pulling their anti-Romney posts, but I hope to see a few willing to be positive and work together to ensure Primary victories for the remaining Conservative in the Republican Primary, in order to deny Romney an easy nomination. Is their motto, “Anybody but Romney,” or is it, “Anybody but Obama?”

When Conservatives decide not to vote for Republican candidates, Republicans lose. Conservatives lose. The Democrats, socialists, and atheists win. Obama wins.

The country can burn, and probably will, but I will not vote for Romney. OR Obama. They are both demons (h/t Psalm144).

Romney will make things worse at a slightly slower rate than Obama.

Write-in Palin if you cannot hold your nose and vote for Romney

I may do that. Haven't decided on Palin (does she really want it?) but there will be a write-in on my ballot. And I will vote for my down-ticket candidates.

I will not help the country “burn.” Fast or slow.

In the mean time, half the R delegates are still up for grabs. The House and Senate can be won by true Conservatives.

This is my focus.

I read this on a thread yesterday:

...Vote conservative only, No RINOs. Support all your local conservative candidates. Get involved with your local GOP committee and help the conservatives take it over. Write to the GOP and tell them why you don’t support Romney and candidates like him and this is why you no longer send them money. Don’t fall for RINOs for any reason, they do not support you or your conservative values. And don’t be swayed by those who say RINOs are somehow preferable to Dems, they’re not. They’re just as bad, even worse, because they’re frauds...

I’m paraphrasing, but that’s the gist of it. Jim Robinson posted it. It’s a call to action, and it is a sound conservative position. Nowhere does it say to not vote, on the contrary, it calls for activism and involvement.

Why anyone would choose 100% lefty over 50-50

So your saying we can choose death by Drano or Death by rat poison. Problem is you think you can delay the death by rat poison, but we been drinking that for decades and the country is now bleeding to death. The cure we're told is to drastic - so look forward to a corrupt and bankrupt government controlling your health, regulating your total existence, but at least it will be Republican overseeing the hospice of the nation. The nation needs a 180 not a 2.5 degree course correction. If God is merciful to us we will have a civil war to restore liberty, I fear we lack the character to risk our lives our fortunes and our sacred honor for the cause of liberty. I'm not sure we love our posterity enough to give them the hope of liberty - we were already acting socialists the day we showed up in a socialist schools, we love the chains of tyranny as long as they are made of gold. Too bad we ran out of gold and the chains are now iron.

“When Conservatives decide not to vote for Republican candidates, Republicans lose.”

Republicans deserve to lose when they abandon their conservative base to support a liberal.

This will result in a third party run, support for existing third parties, or an unenergized base that stays away.

As they sow, they will reap.

It is not up to me to abandon all my conservative values to support a liberal.
It is up to the Party to include it’s base.

I’m off their plantation now. I vote for conservatives and not liberals.

I don’t vote for abortion supporters.
I don’t vote for gay supporters.
I don’t vote for more goverment.
I don’t vote for weasels.

I will continue to carry out the fight that the Republicans don’t have the balls to fight.

I take the meaning to be:

If conservatives vote third-party in November, they`re responsible for the death of America.

To that I say... BS. Conservatives have resisted Romney all along because:
a) He`s a friggin` chameleon whose color of the day suits the political environment;
b) He showed he is FAR more willing to throw the political equivalent of battery acid on his GOP primary opponents, yet speaks of 0bama in sickeningly reverent tones;
c) He laid the groundwork for Obamacare AND DEFENDS IT TO THIS DAY; and finally...
d) He has NO chance of beating 0bama in the fall.

I resent the position the elite GOP types pushed on us when it was all so fluid and back-and-forth in the early primaries.. “Stop with the nonsense,” we were told.. “We already have our nominee.”

The power brokers in the GOP did it to themselves and to America.

I, for one, have been voting for the “least worst” in general elections since Reagan left office. and I`m burned out on the feckless and cowardly GOP. It`s time for a new strategy and a new path, because the old ones don`t work!!

When Conservatives decide not to vote for Republican candidates...Conservatives lose.

And when conservatives decide to vote for Republican candidates, they often still lose. Funny how that works. "Republican" is unfortunately not synonymous with "conservative".
