According to Indonesian law after a marriage of an Indonesian man to a foreign woman the wife AUTOMATICALLY becomes an Indonesian citizen unless the man foresakes his Indonesian citizenship. The later did not happen. So in the eyes of Indonesia both Lolo and SAD were Indonesian citizens (regardless of SAD dual status). Hence Obama HAD to be recognized as an Indonesian citizen in Indonesia. So he had to be removed documentation showing him as a US citizen and had to be removed from SADs US passport.
The marriage happened when Obama was only 3. He was only 4 when SAD would have legally become an Indonesian citizen. Did the US recognize his status as a US citizen after that? That is a reasonable question.
African is not a race, nor is Egyptian, Libyan, or Tunisian, but those last three are countries on the continent of Africa. So is South Africa.
One can be white and be from Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, and South Africa; one can also be black and be from those places. Africa is a continent and those others are countries on that continent. So “African”, not being a race, was coded (possibly) as “not stated.”
My point, however, was that just because it said African doesn’t necessarily mean that the father was black. Egyptian seems to fit him better and he did, after all, note his own resemblance to King Tut. Since I disbelieve everything on that document, anyway, it doesn’t much matter.
Hence the issue with ‘African’ term.
IF it were entered as such it seems it would have been translated to some category.

That’s interesting, I didn’t know that about the wife of an Indonesian citizen. I wondered at one point if she had given up US citizenship and taken on Indo. citizenship. David said something recently about 0mugabe living with an different Indo family surnamed Soebarkah.
That is the end and the beginning of the story. This alone is enough to make Bennett ask for bona fides. The rest is nonsense. Joe Arpaio is the only official at any level in the country to call Obama on it.
If they don't take Obama off the ballot, Bennett and whatever passes for a Governor in AZ should be whipped naked down the steps of the state house.
