When I drive to DeFuniak Springs for shopping, I will often note the altitude at various locations. A good part of the trip is at around 300 feet or even more.
That should keep me safe from those tidal waves.

150 ft high, if you pretend a meter is 36 inches instead of 39. So taller than 150 ft. Close enough for those of us not building stuff that has to stand for generations.

About 150 feet, a meter is just three inches more than a yard.

I think that is in the boilerplate preliminaries.
I understand that Disney(tm) does have facilities (or use to) to handle the guests in case of nuclear war.

“Why is this guy so concerned about only tsunamis”
And Florida! It would be devastating no matter where it hit.
To: Popman
I’m three miles from the beach. Much more worried about looters.

Is it possible? Sure. Is it probable? Yawn. But yawns don’t sell newspapers.

It takes a TREMENDOUS amount of energy to create a wave that big. An big meteor or a massive earthquake. Isn't there something in the Canary islands (IIRC) that worries geologists if it lets go?
To: Labyrinthos
I’m more worried about terrorists doing something. Plenty of them here.

Sure. Arm floaters would be great. You can carry fresh water and gardia cysts in them after the world ends.
