There was a TV ad in the ‘60’s with a jingle that went
“Change for the better with Alacahöyük wrap!”
...or something like that.

Old joke,
Sergeant: “Quit bitching. When Hannibal crossed the Alps he would have loved to eat that.”
Soldier: “Yeah, but it was fresh then.”

But does this meal/do these foods, meet Michelle 0’s dietary guidelines for school lunches? that is the crucial question!

Interesting. Thanks. I read up on some ancient Roman recipes once. The grilled beef with a sea salt and honey glaze served with flat bread and onions sounded amazing. Some of the others not so much. But amazing to see ancient recipes.

I thought “C rations” were old in 1967 when we had those in ROTC.

Need recipes!
Their sanitary practices were better than today’s. Last and final time we were in Whataburger, the burger flipper was digging in his backside.

I really think my grade school cafeteria served that in the 1950’s. I bet they found a stash and decided to save some money.

I do collect old recipes and try them out (sometimes).
I don't think I would have any problem eating with these guys.
I've found that if things are really bad, I can just take off my glasses and everything improves. ;)
