I guess from my typo you can see just how mad I still get! They let them sand bag Cain and what did we get? Romney!

Guilt by association. It's true with Obama. It was tried on Jesus but it didn't work then.

I attended the 2000 state Reform Party convention in Illinois. The two factions were the Farrakhanites/lefties vs.. Buchananites.
Tempers flared. The Buchanan folks had the numbers. The head of the Farrakhanite/lefty faction was actually a gentleman, and allowed everything to go in a proper manner. He acted with dignity.
Some of the Buchanan folks got a bit mouthy after the votes, and there was a near skirmish between one of the Buchanan people and a short fellow who was allied with Farrakhan.
Before long, he pulls out a piece of paper naming him as some kind of law enforcement in Kenwood. I immediately told him I lived in that area in the ‘80s, and started asking him about the old neighborhood. He shut up, quickly. (This was also Obama’s neighborhood, for the record)
He had the piece of paper, but I doubt he actually did anything. When I lived there, I would occasionally see a car, and the U of C acknowledged their presence in a neutral manner, but besides the Chicago Police, the U of C police, and the extra police watching Harold Washington’s pad nearby in Hyde Park, they were a non-factor. I am sure they still are a non-factor.

I donated to Cain when I was nearly broke, and drove with his sticker on my car into Madison, WI every day, putting me in the grey zone for a keying attack.
I was willing to believe him until he stopped fighting back. He could have come clean, completely clean. He could have fought if he was not guilty. He could have not put people like me in the position of supporting a man with that kind of exposure.
That was a bad year.
